Great artist, great virtuoso, great friend. Miss you, but videos like this give me tremendous pleasure and inspiration, and quite a few smiles.

My teacher in Salzburg Mozarteum. I guess most of violinists cannot play like this at that age. Absolute amazing!!! THANKS MAESTRO!!!

Ricci has the technique, the tone, the heart. Will there ever be one to match him?

artielon heifetz, milstein, Goldstein, Michael Rabin and ets! None them played that much on Paganini! Ricci was most fond of this sort of physical tricks.

Steve, it wasn't a physical trick. Paganini was a great composer. I love the caprices, and Ricci is the best in the caprices. I was lucky to meet him twice.

The last of the 'greats', and, without doubt, the finest pizzicato technique of all! (Even if not demonstrated here!

Thank you for this video. I must say that you shall listen to Franco Gulli lives recording in the 60's. He plays the 1st and the 5th concerto. That's really amazing

The conductor must carefully control the sound of the orchestra to make ricci' s soft sound be heard
