Thanks for your most recent review of the Clooblut RD218. I’m always after a bargain and I was tempted to buy one. However, 13GBP delivered from AliExpress is much more than my XHDATA D-219. Also, I have other, more sophisticated digital radios if I want to know the exact broadcast frequency so it’s a no from me.
I like xhdata because they are cheap and very functional. I bought the emergency radio for my dad as a father's day gift this year. It blows his old camping radio out of the water!
New to shortwave radio. Your channel has been very helpful in deciding on which radios to start with. I now have two D919s, D608WB and a D808. You have part to do with those purchases. Thank you for the great content. Use my name as a second entry for someone trying to get in the hobby. Good luck everyone.
I just love XHDATA radios. You have introduced them to me through this channel and I have already bought two of them. The features are incredible for the price, as well as the sound and quality.
I like that XHDATA keeps adding to the variety of radios with different features and at a very affordable price. My 7 year old son likes to take my d219 and sneak off and listen to it, I act like I don't notice but can hear him scanning the bands while laying in bed. Im wanting to get a d109 wb for the winter and enjoy listening to the weather information. Thank you for the opportunity from Pennsylvania usa!
What I like about XHDATA radios: the price/performance ratio is hard to beat, and a steady stream of new models to tempt even those of us with a shelf full of radios.
Brother xhdata radios will always be special to me when my dad was sick in hospital I brought him up the xhdata D-219 he was radios mad like myself and instead of listening to all the noise in the hospital he wud plug his headphones in ..The xhdata d-219 could pick up loads of stations even with all the electric interference in the hospital setting...it brought him great comfort sadly he passed away in hospital after couple of months but when we had his wake and before we put the lid on his coffin I put his radio in with him with a fresh set of batteries ..Rip my Dad Gerry snr I don't want to be entered in draw but just want to say thanks to xhdata .😢
Hi Ged, I remember very well when you bought your dad the radio. And that you sent him on his way to the afterlife with a fresh set of batteries. Beautiful gesture ❤
I appreciated the insights you had on the XHDATA D-220 & THE D-109WB radios on your channel. It give me a better understanding of which one I will buy....
I became an XHDATA believer after purchasing a D-219 at such a crazily affordable price and comparing the reception to an older analogue radio of mine. The "chip" in the XHDATA is just so much cleaner and picks up channels so much better. I love that this company is being innovative with small radio technology.
XHDATA are to be commended for designing and marketing a wide range of receivers at keen prices. I love my D-219 so much I bought a second, just in case I lose the original. I liked my D-109 until it inexplicably failed after a few months, as I’ve mentioned to you before. The D-220 looked great online and in the hand but my example had poor sound quality/reception on FM, even compared to other inexpensive pocket radios. Maybe I was just unlucky so please enter me in the raffle for another one. My only reservation about XHDATA is the difficulty of contacting the company and poor after-sales service. Perhaps the company would also consider that some customers simply require a decent radio. We don’t all need or use Bluetooth or memory cards. Keep up the great work with your channel Andre!
Thanks for the video, Andre. I also like XHData, having the D-220 and D-608WB. The performance of these radios is really remarkable for the price,,, very good for DXing.
I like pretty much all XHDATA radios! I find them excellent general purpose radios. I am a HAM operator and POTA activator and I always have one of these along to listen to on my activations. Thanks for the coverage of these!

thanks for the raffle. i have a D-808 really like it receives well on MW & shortwave. easy to operate. i watched all your you tube weekly shows since you started them, they are great!! thanks
Now that is what I call a great match Xhdata radios and Andre from SWL Quality products meet Quality content. Hope you both enjoy a happy long association with each other. Good luck everyone.
Hi Andre, Can you tell me what you mean by "Check the contact details on notification" please? I am of the older radio generation and my modern day technical skills are not very good. Thank you
@@TheAsinbasil That message you received was fake, it was someone who used my picture, you will see it was not the channel name, it was another name. The draw is only on 1 December, as I say in the video. I am sorry that you were targeted by this fake message.
I like the XHDATA radios for several reasons: Small and portable Great audio quality Great receiver sensitivity Thank you for the awesome content! Fingers crossed for the raffle ;)
A very generous raffle offer from you Andre. As for xhdata it's the value for money really, they have a good range of radios for anyone wanting to tune into the world, without breaking the bank. I'd hope they'll continue giving us more new models. That D-220 has been in my Cart for a while but I opted for the Clooblut 218 recently. (No offence xhdata) 😀 Thanks, all the best from Scotland.
I really like XHDATA radios because they are great value and look and sound great. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone, even serious radio boffs. I would like to add more to my collection for sure.
Why I like XHDATA radios: I own the D608WB myself which I use often is part of my "off-grid" backpack because of the crank and solar-power capabilities. Not to mention the emergency lights, siren and pretty good sound quality for its small format. I really love that little yellow radio. Good luck to all entering this raffle!
I’ve seen numerous reviews on these radios and it would be nice to receive one from the contest as I know I would be receiving a great compact receiver to enjoy in the cold winter months when I am stuck in the house. I have health issues and this will bring me hours upon hours of listening pleasure. Crossing my fingers.
I really enjoy radio, I own a couple QRP HF radio's, but do not own any XHDATA radios, let alone heard of them. I'd love to get one! Enjoy your video's, Thanks!
i really like that XHDATA delievers quality builds for low prices. They always feel very sturdy and have smooth tuning dials. Most random brand radios in the lower price ranges lack in these fields especially. I do not like the narrow bandwidth filter they seem to use in many (if not all) of their cheap radios. They could sound so much better with a wider filter. It might decrease reception though. But i find it highly annoying on good strong signals and in that situation i always switch to a different radio if i can.
I have restarted SWLing hobby two years ago after a very looooong pause. I was active for a few years around 1990 and had (among others) a Sony ICF-SW7600G back then. When I restarted the hobby, my first choice was an Xhdata D-808 and it turned out to be a good decision. It offers very good value for money, especially because of SSB with 10hz fine tuning. I think it is very important that there a still a few companies out there (like Xhdata) that still make good performing portable shortwave radios for a reasonable price. I would recommend to everybody to just go outdoors to a low RF noise area and enjoy good shortwave reception just using the telescopic whip :)
Andre I have the D608 and Green D220 , and prefer the D608 for the lights and great sounds as the D220 too hard for me to tune the SW band. I have looked at the D808 but have held off hoping they will improve the sound ,but I still buy one next month on the Amazon Prime sale. Thanks for the contest and 73! Have a great day!
I do not own an XHDATA radio yet, but I was actually planning on purchasing the D808, as it appears to be a great all-rounder with good performance on all bands. I like that it has a kickstand, a separate fine tuning wheel, air band and I like the form factor which is a bit more substantial than my PL-330. I like the fact the XHDATA seem to make fairly priced, straightforward radios, without all the bells and whistles other companies are including in theirs. This means they are focused on pure radio performance, which is what is the most important to us listeners.
Hi Andre.. I like the XHDATA pocket size radio because it reminds me so much of the small pocket radios of the 60s, which revolutionised the way we used radios back then.... plus it appears to have very good performance for it's size...
I own an XHDATA D 808 and have had it almost since the model was released. It’s one of my favorites of all time because of its operation. It’s MW band is very sensitive, snd is something of a standard for me. The D 219 would be a great addition to my collection. I love radios like this to just go through the entire bands.
I enjoy the D-219 for the same reason as you, it is just a great radio to scan all the bands quickly and easily. The D-220 is even better for that! The D-219 is not in this raffle though, but the D-220 is. I am sure you will love it, if you are the lucky winner :-)
I like that XHData produces the D-220 in multiple colors. The form factor is amazing and I'm sure they can address more demographical groups if they would make them in hot pink, teal, light blue, ... Analog radios are not only for old men if you present them well.
Hi André, I have D808 and D109 xhdata radios. From first I LOVE it has SSB and RDS,. and Air Band with squelch.. Very good sensitivity in ALL bands, and special mention to AM too. From D-109, I have the old versión, whithout attenuation, so It overloads easily.. nevertheless, their speaker and sound are good quality, with a lot of bass for such a tiny speaker. Have a good Sudafrican`s listeners day! 📻👏🙋
True, the overloading is a bit of an issue on the D-109, mine also, sometimes. But still a nice radio with good sound indeed. Happy listening to you also, in Spain!
I enjoy listening to radio transmitions in Spanish from Denmark. Radio Marti, Voice of Korea, Radio Romania, some from Spain, are received with that little d220.
I like Xhdata radios. The affordability is attractive of course but you just get an amazing quality product. My D219 is my go to for working around the house or a spot of SW listening.
I got a yellow 220 a month ago and I'm still amazed every time I use it just how sensitive it is. It performs much better than radios 10 times it's cost. I wish they would offer it with some kind of tuning knob reduction as it is kinda hard to tune. I'd buy a few of those! Thanks for the video!
I haven't had the opportunity to try any XHData radios yet, so I can't share personal opinions on their performance. However, I've noticed that they are often mentioned for their good functionality at a reasonable price. It seems like they could be a solid choice for those looking for an affordable radio option.
I like the fact that XH Data try to keep the quailty and performance high whilst keeping affordability in balance. tbh comparing my old Tecsun against a friends D808 I was amazed how good it was on SW. I look forward to what XH Data have up their sleeves for forthcoming products.
I've never used an XHDATA radio so it's hard to say what I like about them. I've just got back into shortwave listening and DXing and currently only have an SDR dongle. However I'm excited by the idea of a manufacturer still making shortwave radios and they look cool and functional. I had a physical shortwave radio as a teenage girl X years ago. These are much more portable than the large one I had before.
xhdata D-608 I like this device, but I wish there was a version that does not contain the weather wave to reduce the cost and that we in the Middle East do not benefit from it. I liked it after watching many videos comparing it to other devices and it proved to be effective and highly sensitive and I was convinced that it is the best in emergencies, hiking and wars that our region is experiencing.
The D-608 is a great choice for emergencies and hiking, and indeed for times of trouble, as you say. It is already relatively inexpensive, but I guess removing the weather band would help to reduce the price, as you suggest.
The thing that stands out to me the most about XHDATA is the affordability. I don't own any XHDATA radios as of yet, primarily because I really wanted a radio that performed well on SSB (as my RF-2200 falls short here). I settled on the PL-660 because of how much negativity DSP radios get with regards to their SSB Performance. My next radio will probably be a D808... I am a bit concerned about the Soft Muting though.
I hear you on the soft muting issue, it's a common complaint and it is an issue, but it's still a very nice radio. I used my D-808 a lot in the past, but since I got the Tecsun PL-680 it has become quite a favourite also.
I have both radios in the drawing so please DO NOT add me to the raffle. Who ever wins will be very happy. The D109 is fantastic plus if you have a microSD card loaded with programing there is always something to listen to regardless where you are or poor propagation. It would be nice if the screen on the D109 showed the track name instead of the Track number when playing the microSD. Other than that... I'm a very happy camper. I got the yellow 220 and the dial indicator gets washed out with the yellow. The yellow is a great color but the indicator stick needs to be black or another better visible color. The 220 is bang for the buck a great value. I have not idea who long a set of batteries will last as mine just keeps going. Both are keepers and good luck to the winners! THANKS ANDRE for a great youtube channel
I'm glad you enjoy both radios, they are fantastic, and I hope the winner has just as much fun with them! I have the same experience as you with the batteries in the D-220, they seem to last forever. It's great.
What I like about the XHDATA D808 is the frequency range with SSB and Air band. Also excellent sensitivity on all bands. What I dislike is the power button that requires a couple of more presses within a second to turn the radio on. Certainly that minor quirk is not a dealbreaker.
Hi John, the power button seems to be a quirk on so many radios! I wonder why. My Eton Elite Traveler is the same, sometimes I need to press the power button up to three times before the radio turns on.
@@swlistening really? That’s interesting. It must be the quality of many components these days. Nothing like that “solid” feel of buttons and switches from many years ago.
Hi Andrei, thanks for your hard work. I enjoy all your podcasts/videos. This may sound strange, but should my name pop-up, could you do another draw. Reason being I don't need another radio. Oh, and I believe you when you say they are great radios. As I say, I am happy to pass my draw on to another lucky subscriber.
I have the D608 weather band radio. This for DXing is marvelous, this ability was a major surprise for me! I too like XHDATA....recently I heard the name pronounced something like "chdata" the first letter combined to a sound like the Russian letter X in combination with the Scottish ch (as in Loch) it took me most of the broadcast to figure out what radio brand the person was referring to! As it was possibly an Indian (or that general area) Asian accent broadcast it made me wonder!
XHDATA have cheap price radio receiver start at 10nUS dollars and very goog radio with SSB modes. They can send to many countries. For me the 109 is the best for the price to lister SW, MW, FM, etc.
I have been an owner of an XHDATA D-808 for a few years, so much that I no longer really remember when I ordered it 😂 Anyway I have a version with blue display backlight, and it looks nice :) It is a nice little radio, very capable for portable MW DXing, and I think its internal ferrite couples better with long electric fence a lot better than that of the Qodosen DX-286 😳 (but you can connect the wire to Qodosen's whip antenna once you switch to receive LW & MW from "external antenna".) The D-109 I expect to perform similar on FM & SW using a telescoping whip to the D-808, which is also good, while the D-220 is like a tiny yet packed "mystery box" 🤔 so you'll have a lot of fun with either of these! 😃 (not that I'm going to order them 😂)
Hi Arnie, I am sure this will be possible, but some people say the D-109WB has a bit less of a problem with overloading when using an external antenna. And the DX/local switch sounds quite useful to me.
Hey Arnie, maybe you will be the lucky winner of a D-220. It really is a lot of fun, it is exactly as you say, a tiny "mystery box" 😃 Personally I think the D-109 and the D-808 perform more or less the same on shortwave. The D-808 just has SSB as an additional feature, and air band of course. I have been meaning to compare these two side-by-side on MW for some time, but I keep forgetting. I put it on my list of future videos now to help me remember.
Never had, nor have I used an XHDATA radio. I'm interested in returning to short wave listening after a long hiatus. I figure if I win it would be a helpful start.
You’re in for a treat if you win it Robert, it's a fantastic little radio. But if you don't win the raffle, the D-219 at just $10 is a great start to get back into SW listening.
Hello Andre, I’ve just received your message informing me I’m a winner of the raffle. However, I’m a little confused as to how to claim my prize; please would you clarify? Also, I’m sure you stated the draw would run until 30 November, not 31 October. That’s only added to my confusion.
Hi Ian, I'm so sorry, that was a bot, it wasn't me. It is spam. You will see it is my image, but not the name of the channel. I just became aware of it myself and I am trying to block the spam.
No problem Andre; you have my every sympathy. I was interested to read somewhere (this channel?) on YT about problems with D-808 control knobs. I’m perplexed how a company can produce such well-designed products and market them with such poor QC. It’s put me off the brand for life. OTOH I own, and have owned, a few Tecsun and Prunus radios, none of which have ever let me down.
@@UKRO404 Thanks Ian, this is really a shock to me. Why would anyone do such a thing? Anyway, thanks for understanding. There have been a few comments on my channel about the D-808 and some issues. These relate to the fine-tuning wheel, as well as the volume knob. It seems to be happening with the second-generation D-808. I'll get in touch with XHDATA and ask them about this.
Some people obviously have nothing better to do with their time. Sorry (especially to anyone from XHDATA who’s following this thread) about being so negative about the company’s products. However, no business will attract or retain customers if it can’t earn their confidence. All the best for now, Ian
@@UKRO404 Thanks Ian. It seems to me that one particular XHDATA model is the culprit, the D-808, second generation. Several people had issues with the fine-tuning wheel on that one, and apparently also the volume knob. But as far as their other radios go, they all seem to be good quality. I have not had any issues with any of my other XHDATA radios.
TMSFA: _"Except for the D-368 and this one, the D-608WB which they sent me for review....the others were bought with my own money..."_ 😎 👍 Me: "Ja, ja. Al my verdomde radios is met my eie geld gekoop!" 😭😭😭📻 I like XHDATA radios because they all use DSP tuner chips. Which is not necessarily a bad thing, because I've never complained of XHDATA sending me an analogue radio with tuning problems. Good luck everyone with the raffle....Ummmm... is daai Hammarlund deel van die prys, bra? 😁
@@swlistening I know, I was just kidding about your Hammarlund, my china. You struck gold finding that one and it's the most nostalgic radio in your collection. Each time you do a bandscan with it, I feel like I'm transported back to the year 1945. 📻🌍🕥🕘🕒🕜🕐⌛
Andre, I have the D219 and D368 from XHDATA. Is the D220 much different than these two radios for reception? I am impressed by these two radios and hope to win another! Thank you.
Hi Anthony. The D-220 is a different kind of experience. I would say it is easily as sensitive as the D-219 and the D-368, but the experience is very different. The dial is tiny, so all the signals are packed very tightly together. This means it is always a bit like a treasure hunt when you are DXing, you need a very steady hand and patience, and it is a lot of fun to see what you can receive. That's the best word to describe the D-220, fun!
This is nice! I would prefer to purchase them on my own though, one of the reasons is that I am under 18, another one is that I would prefer to work for the radios. I remember seeing on your podcast yesterday that you have bought all but 2 radios from XHDATA. Which ones don’t you have, including the E100 they released recently? Also, other than the D608WB, is there any other good emergency hand-crank radio you know of that works well with DXing on any band? Thanks in advance. Also, is the PL368 and D109 exactly the same? Maybe XHDATA should make a radio like the PL368. When you get a PL330, you can try a comparison between them.
Hi Deniz. The radios that I don't have are the D-901 and D-902. And I don't have the D-328, but that one is just a more basic version of the D-368. And, of course, I don't have the E100, it is brand new and I haven't bought it. XHDATA did actually offer me the E100 to review, but I had to say no. I don't know if you know it, but for radios that can transmit on ham frequencies you need a ham licence in South Africa, so it would have been illegal for me to operate the E100 and to test it on my channel. I hope to get my ham licence next year. I don't know if the D-109 and the PL-368 are exactly the same. For one thing, the PL-368 has SSB, which the D-109 does not have. Your idea that XHDATA should make a radio similar to the PL-368 is actually a very good idea! The D-808 has the same features as the PL-368, but the two radios have very different form factors. About the hand-crank radios, you've got me stumped. I don't actually know of any others. There are, for sure, I just don't know about them.
@ That seems pretty interesting. Don’t worry, I am aware of the Ham Frequency bans from ICASA and XHDATA. Good luck with the Ham Radio exams and other stuff! I might get you on DXing, you never know! I have 5 choices of hand-crank radios. The Tecsun Radios Australia’s “Best Emergency Radio”, which is really a generic Chinese radio which the manufacturer licensed their name for, the XHDATA D608WB as mentioned earlier, as well as the Degen CY1 and DE13. I do have some other choices, but they are of low priority, because they aren’t really in my criteria for emergency radios. Edit: I just added something I forgot. It is fixed now.
@@FamtechVideos I do think the D-608WB is a great choice, it's a very nice radio. Good sound, and it looks like a rugged, outdoors-type radio should look 🙂
I own an orange Xhdata d-220. I have parkinsons, wake up a lot in dead of night. Then i have my 220 and use it with one hand, the thumb can control both the volume and surf the frequencies. Amazing radio in reception and soundquality. And the orange 220 is present with a beautiful soft light in the dark. Thnx Andre for your insights.
.. Hi to everybody ! , ...My first has been the Xhdata d-328, with it I can listen clearly to international broadcasts and enjoy diexism and practice languages. I love the design and the sound, (especially of the Quqin or the Pipa, on Chinese stations ). With this portable receiver I can practice and learn languages through the news, apart from listening to music. What I like the most is the "warm and tasty" sound sensation of the speaker, and the elegance of the design. Since I use it a lot, I would like the band change control to be more solid, but it is comfortable. My next Xhdata will be with LCD screen. :), but the detail of the analog dial is a hit for portable. Living close (very close) to TV broadcast installations and military antennas, the shortwave reception is very good. Good luck and reception !
Interesting that you mention the warm sound of the D-328, it is something that I also like a lot about the D-220 and the D-109, and also the D-368. The D-109 in particular has very good sound, but the D-220 is not far behind. For the small size, it sounds great, and not tinny. Many small radios sound tinny, this one does not.

I like pretty much all XHDATA radios! I find them excellent general purpose radios. I am a HAM operator and POTA activator and I always have one of these along to listen to on my activations. Thanks for the coverage of these!
I purchased the D-608WB earlier this year. I’m happy with the performance on all bands.
I really like my D-219, I use it to listen to music when I do work in my garden or kitchen. It’s a good sounding radio for a nice price.
Just recently bought the XHdata D808 it's a great radio to have.
Performance and value. They all seem to work better than they should for the price XHData charges. They are well-engineered and well-thought out.
Wow, thank you!
Where do I find your email address?
@@ditto1958 Hi there, I'm so sorry, it seems like you also got the scammer's message. Someone has been spamming my channel with fake messages to viewers that they won the radio raffle. The person used my picture, but a different channel name. I really don't understand why anyone would do something like that. Of course, as I said in the video about the raffle, the draw will only be on the 1st of December and the names of the winners will be announced in a live stream. I am so sorry about this, but the message you received was fake.
@ I suspected as much.
thanks for the raffle. i have a D-808 really like it receives well on MW & shortwave. easy to operate. i watched all your you tube weekly shows since you started them, they are great!! thanks
Thanks for your feedback on the podcasts! Good to hear that you enjoy them.
just starting with this hobby, hope to be lucky winner 🥇 thanks 😊 😊 😊.
I have a few SW receivers and recently bought the D 808, it performs flawlessly.
Now that is what I call a great match Xhdata radios and Andre from SWL Quality products meet Quality content. Hope you both enjoy a happy long association with each other. Good luck everyone.
Wow! That's amazing. Thank you so much.

@@TheAsinbasil Indeed. I really don't understand why anyone would do something like this. I am so sorry that you were the target.
I like the XHDATA radios for several reasons:
Small and portable
Great audio quality
Great receiver sensitivity
Thank you for the awesome content! Fingers crossed for the raffle ;)
Voorspoed, Jaco-Louis!
I like that XHDATA still makes a quality pocket radio.
I like XHDATA because they represent incredible value for money. Its crazy to me that they are as affordable as they are
thanks!
one thing i do like about xhdata is their styling -- they just look kinda good.
(No offence xhdata) 😀
Thanks, all the best from Scotland.
Hi Lew, the Clooblut is a very good choice also!
I really like XHDATA radios because they are great value and look and sound great. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone, even serious radio boffs. I would like to add more to my collection for sure.
Nice video Andre, really good lighting. I have the D 219 and D 328 both excellent radios for the price paid. The little D 220 is very nice.
Thanks for the comment about the lighting :-)
Why I like XHDATA radios: I own the D608WB myself which I use often is part of my "off-grid" backpack because of the crank and solar-power capabilities. Not to mention the emergency lights, siren and pretty good sound quality for its small format. I really love that little yellow radio. Good luck to all entering this raffle!
The D-608WB is a real winner for off-grid!
Thanks John! I hope you win and that the radio brings you some comfort during the cold winter months.
I don’t own one but every time a new one comes out it gets my interest I will be buying one soon
Very good suggestion about going outdoors!
The D-808 is a great radio indeed, it performs well in all bands.
I have a d219. Surprised at the sensitivity. The price makes the d219 good gifts .
Hi Andre.. I like the XHDATA pocket size radio because it reminds me so much of the small pocket radios of the 60s, which revolutionised the way we used radios back then.... plus it appears to have very good performance for it's size...
The nostalgia factor is also one of the reasons why I like the D-220 so much!
What i like about xhdata is reasonable price and good functionality. Nice content sir as always
Thanks!
New to SW just got my first XHDATA D-219 it's a great radio!
That's awesome, welcome to the wonderful world of SW listening. The D-219 is a great radio indeed!
I agree. XHData keeps coming out with new models which is great.
I like that XHData produces the D-220 in multiple colors. The form factor is amazing and I'm sure they can address more demographical groups if they would make them in hot pink, teal, light blue, ... Analog radios are not only for old men if you present them well.
You have a point here, some bright colours would appeal to more people :-)
Xhdata radios are very good value for money great for SW reception
I have only one XHDATA radio - D-318BT. I like it for the recording function which works very good.
Just like your SWL report and station updates. I’m a Sony person ICF 2010 and ICF 7600 GR and older SW radios.
I like Xhdata radios. The affordability is attractive of course but you just get an amazing quality product. My D219 is my go to for working around the house or a spot of SW listening.
The D-219 is such a great choice for easy SW listening.
Hi Ted, I agree, the tuning is a bit tricky. But such a sensitive little radio!
I can't wait to see your livestream André! I recently purchased a D-109WB for my mom and she really enjoys it.
I am glad you got her one, I think she will enjoy listening to it!
@swlistening She has already fallen asleep to a classical music station she told me 😂
I haven't had the opportunity to try any XHData radios yet, so I can't share personal opinions on their performance.
Me too, I can't wait to see what their next radio will be!
Small enough to carry but big enough for my ears... If I don't win, I will probably buy one anyway
I love xhdata d109 for its sound quality
I like XHDAATA radios. I don't have one yet but I have seen a lot of good reviews for them, especially the D808.
The D-808 is a great choice, but as tiny as it is, the D-220 is a great performer!
I love their radios and they listen to their customers.
Hi Carline, the D-220 will remind you of your teenage DXing years, it certainly makes me feel like a teenager again!
I thought the Clooblut would make the race
I am planning some more end-of-year videos, the Clooblut will definitely feature in some of them!
The D-109 is one of the best MW radios ever
xhdata D-608 I like this device, but I wish there was a version that does not contain the weather wave to reduce the cost and that we in the Middle East do not benefit from it.
Xhdata makes good new portable SW radios
Shortwave radio Aphasia stoke I am getting done
Hi Andrei, thanks for your hard work. I enjoy all your podcasts/videos. This may sound strange, but should my name pop-up, could you do another draw. Reason being I don't need another radio. Oh, and I believe you when you say they are great radios. As I say, I am happy to pass my draw on to another lucky subscriber.
Hi Howell, thank you so much for your comment, and for your kind offer! I will do that, if your name comes up.
Interesting about the pronunciation! I will ask them what the right pronunciation is :-)
The D-608WB looks quite rugged for outdoor use. I wish that one was on offer.
XHDATA have cheap price radio receiver start at 10nUS dollars and very goog radio with SSB modes. They can send to many countries. For me the 109 is the best for the price to lister SW, MW, FM, etc.
They make DXing affordable for everyone, I like that.
😃 (not that I'm going to order them 😂)
BTW is there an option to ask XHDATA to eventually send a D-109 *without* the weather band, as it is of no use outside of North America?
I have a D -808 and like it except I find the controls diffecult to remember.
Hello Andre,
I’ve just received your message informing me I’m a winner of the raffle.
All the best for now,
Ian
@@UKRO404 Thanks Ian. It seems to me that one particular XHDATA model is the culprit, the D-808, second generation. Several people had issues with the fine-tuning wheel on that one, and apparently also the volume knob. But as far as their other radios go, they all seem to be good quality. I have not had any issues with any of my other XHDATA radios.
TMSFA: _"Except for the D-368 and this one, the D-608WB which they sent me for review....the others were bought with my own money..."_ 😎 👍
Me: "Ja, ja. Al my verdomde radios is met my eie geld gekoop!" 😭😭😭📻
I like XHDATA radios because they all use DSP tuner chips. Which is not necessarily a bad thing, because I've never complained of XHDATA sending me an analogue radio with tuning problems. Good luck everyone with the raffle....Ummmm... is daai Hammarlund deel van die prys, bra? 😁
Your Afrikaans is improving fast 🤣Bad luck for you though, the Hammarlund is like gold to me, I will never let it go 😁
@@StratmanII Shame man.
@swlistening ok thank you.
i like the radio of it if a nice ti replace my radio shack dx 60 that i take camping
I really like my D108 but XHDATA should reduce or eliminate the horrible soft mute on it & all radios.
I agree, this is something that seems to be an unfortunate reality on all DSP-based radios...
The D-220 is wonderfully easy to operate! That is one of the reasons why I like it also.
