    I saw a video where a guy did this on a concrete floor in his home! It was beautiful. I have an old round table that I decopauged years ago. It has been on my garage and has really gotten all jacked up. I think this may be what I redo it with. I think it would be beautiful! TFS.

    I know a lady who did the floor of her beauty shop with a similar way.
    It looked awesome and was a very inexpensive way to cover a floor.

    Fruit-based leathers and cork are not very mainstream and are thus still very expensive. So today, the great debate of two options: animal vs synthetic leather... it's a tough debate for sure.
    There is a third option with 2 sub options -- recycled synthetic leather. 1) old windshields upcycled to make synthetic leather, 2) recycled pre or post-consumer polyester mixed with recycled polyurethane to make synthetic leather. What do you and your viewers think about these?
    Also, there is a fourth option: recycled animal leather. It is composed of old scrap animal leather and post-consumer recycled polyester to make new material.
    Would you and your viewers agree that using recycled materials, whereby the recycled material composition is maximized, does more environmental cleanup overall?

      +Kelly Donovan Knittingandthings Hello Kelly 😀 I subscribed to your channel. 👍 Thank you for responding.
      I Need your expertise...This is the first time that I am attempting doing cardstock faux leather project. 😬🙏😬 I fell in love with the faux leather technique and I thought I would try it on my kitchen counter. I am redoing my kitchen counter and Instead of using acrylic paints to make my kitchen counters marblized, I thought to do a faux leather look on my counters using gray cardstock paper.
      My question...What would be the best topcoat protector for faux leather cardstock on a kitchen counter? Polyurethane or an epoxy glaze? Thank You for you guidance in this project of mine. 😀

    You're so entertaining and informative. :)
    Also I now know what I would sound like if I had your accent ;o.... It's so weird.
    Also I have a question. If I want to make my leather with paper background or a wax paper background, are those good substitutes? I am asking because I want to make little straps for a statuette I am making. I will experiment. o.o That's the best part of Art. :D
    Also I have a request. I want to see a DIY for making a miniature statuette out of homemade clay... And also using ordinary household objects to make a container on it. I challenge you to do an animal eating a piece of food and the container will be a strapped on basket! :D

    • @knittingandthings
      @knittingandthings  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Okalani5000 Hi!!! Using wax paper for the leather might not get you the same faux leather look but it would be cool. Paper would work well as well as brown paper bag and printer paper. I will show u a statue I made a few years ago on my next video. And I will try and do what u said. I have never sculpted animals before. Many blessings
