I can't speak for the Hilton Head, but I've lived in Latitude Margaritaville Watersound since July, 2022, and have three items that are neither intended to be positive or negative. 1) do your research and talk to current residents - HOA restrictions, construction quality, local resources, and resident behavior are a few of many topics you should explore. 2) the lifestyle is robust and there's a party element that must have missed out on a social life in their younger years, so they're making up for lost time. 3) Jimmy Buffett was a great entertainer, songwriter, and promoter of the island/beach lifestyle, but I'd like to more variety in the music...hearing Margaritaville 8-10 times day is making me go bonkers.
How about the workers having to walk out at night and seeing residents fucking in cars and miles of puke PLUS being hit on by both men and women and being accosted by DRUNKS????
I wish I was a responsible intelligent adult and can go swim in the pool after the sun goes down in HH lol pathetic. How about if you’re a drunk and drown you can’t sue ? lol I am looking at a home for myself now but I wish the “in house” agent we had no choice but to use for my moms trust purchase was not being forced on me 2 years later to use the same agent who I don’t even know her name. I have an agent who they will not pay nor will they take off the 3% they have in the price for buyers agents. Mailboxes are not covered and mail gets wet so someone is breaking federal laws and don’t care or feel above the law in HH Margaritaville. Overall a good place but can be way better without the politics and strong arm corporate corruption.
You’re forgetting that the prices you’re stating are base prices. Does not include the lot price and all the upgrades that you want. With that base price you get carpeting, brown cabinets, 3 choices of granite which are not attractive. When you’re done picking out of the “nicer” things it gets pricey. I know. I live there in SC 2020 and building in Daytona. I should have bought a resale because I couldn’t put the things I already have here in HH over there. I think the resale prices now are reasonable. Prices are going up every 4 months, it seems. Agents need to tell clients that the sticker price of home is just that. Nothing else. It’s all à la cart.
We bought a home for our mom in her trust 2 years ago in HH. I was going to look at purchasing a home there for myself and was informed by my agent that they will not pay him because the “in house” agent we used 2 years ago for a trust purchase and not my choice has taken my rights for my own representation. Is this a lifetime forced agenda ?? This industry has become disturbing in my recent experiences. The problem is the insider corporate corruption is like our broken corrupt government.
Wow that looks amazing! The only problem is South Carolina can get chilly in the winter. We stayed at a margaritaville property after a cruise in the US Virgin Islands about 5 years ago pre COVID and it was a really nice and the restaurant was fantastic.
No building stopped in the Villages! We looked at this community however they said there was a waiting list! LoL. There is definitely something fishy. Beware.
Yes, there is a waitlist for the single-family homes. The cottages there isn’t. Depends on what floorplan you are looking for. There’s a lot of demand for the community.
Home quality is poor. The drywall is so light i can literally push a small nail thru it with my thumb. And they are building way way too many homes for what little amenities they have. There isn't even an indoor rec center with things like billiards, shuffleboard etc etc. Pickleball is already crowded and they are in the process of building a thousand more homes. It was a great idea to begin with but the builder has really skimped out on the amenities in favor of building homes to enrich themselves.

They have money problems. Anticipated more homes fantasy land
