The kid who wrote this actually really understands the Doctor’s character. They wrote him really well. And I love how the doctor and Albert Einstein talk to each other like they were old Frenemies. This minisode is great it’s not a big giant adventure, it’s just Thursday for the Doctor.
Why do I get the feeling this was based off of Matt Smith's fanfiction? (It's a well-known fact that Matt wrote fanfiction of the Doctor meeting Einstein in order to get himself into the character.)
Is this just a regular occurrence? Like, little odd things like this will just happen on a regular basis when the Doctor isn't actively travelling. I like to think so

Now we have become good friends and she recently turned me into a Whovian. I can't get enough of that brilliant show now. "My" Doctor is Matt Smith and "her" Doctor is David Tennant. :)

I like this. It would've been even better if it had included a line like "I haven't seen you since that business with the Rani on Lakertia" (a 7th Doctor adventure) but it really hit all the right notes for a mini-episode.

I remember fans being really harsh on this, but it’s just the result of a fun little contest for the kids, not an attempt to write the new Caves of Androzani. For what it is, it’s enjoyable enough.
One funny thing is, that they never manage to get a real german accent... this Einstein sounds far more south-european or even oriental (suitable to the fez though)! ;oP
oh you know what's really funny? when they're actually showing "Germans" speaking German in British TV shows. Like in that mini episode of Sherlock before the third series, the jury or whatever it was, all of them saying "not guilty" in German. It really cracked me up, to someone who speaks German and knows how it's supposed to sound it's just hilarious "hmm... well, that one sounds slightly Russian... what's that supposed to be, Chinese?"
