Richard such a fantastic review on the Hokki V3!!! It would be the one I would use for sure for waterfowl. So glad your a Tragopan ambassador! Cheers from Ontario, Canada
Thanks Lisa very kind of you. With your type of photography it would be perfect! Saying that the images you get without one are superb! Imagine what you could do with one, lol.. Thanks again Richard 😉👍
Thanks Scott, they are really good and built to last! There range is quite extensive so one for all occasions. If you did you wouldn't regret it. Cheers R
Another great informative review Richard. The Tragopan hides do look great bits of kit and what I like about this one is the small size for carrying around. Cheers Keith
Hi Richard fantastic review they certainly think of everything, I like the V6 but the Hokki is incredible you have done a fantastic review on this hokki I will be definitely saving for one them just got too make my mind up for which one, well done Richard for doing a fantastic review thank you for sharing the video
Hi Martyn, thanks very much indeed I really enjoy doing the Tragopan reviews and I really believe in the products and certainly would not recommend them if I didn't think they were any good. Don't always need a hide but when you do they are superb. Cheers R
Excellent review Richard. I normally through a camo poncho over myself when I'm doing low level photography. This hide looks so much more comfortable. All the best Steve.
Thanks very much for watching and leaving a comment, Barn Owls are the best I just wished it wasn't near dark to watch them, lol. I would like to but only part time at the moment, one day my full time job maybe! All the best Richard 😀
Thanks Simon, great hides.. all rounder the V6 would be the choice due to the versatility but for designated low work! V3 all the way... hard not to fall asleep in it! They are inflatable ground mats, military issue 👍
@@RichardBirchett out of interest have you used it and if so managed to capture any nice pictures will order mine this weekend do you no the availability?
@@jamescarro771 Hi James, I've not used it in anger yet! But this week I'm using it at the lake for some Dabchick, Bittern and Grey Heron so I hope to be in some luck. Currently in stock, any probs let me know, don't forget the discount code. All the best R
Hi Tom, they are superb but also attractive to the wondering eye! I wouldn’t leave mine anywhere that wasn’t private! Sure to go missing, if you get access to private land it’s always a possibility. Cheers R 👍
Nice hide but a bit niche for my requirements. I'll probably end up with the Tragopan as my Simon King Hide is utter rubbish and on it's last legs despite me repairing it 3 times now. I need to get an order in soon so that I have it in time for April and hopefully a summer in Cornwall.
Hi Steve, I think it is a niche one but they really are superb hides and one for all types of photography! Yes the SK hide isn't the best from what I've seen and heard, hope you do get one and fingers crossed all goes well to get to Cornwall for your holiday. Cheers R
@@RichardBirchett Hi Richard. The Taragopan hides are expensive but all of them look well designed with attention to detail, quality materials and workmanship self evident. The SK hide is junk in comparisson and expensive junk at that. Things are looking better for getting to Cornwall. I missed the peregrines fledging last year and don't want to miss it this year.
@@stevemurnan1702 Quite a few people have said that they are never keen on reviews from sponsors and ambassador types but I can say with absolute certainty these really are the business! After 22 years as a survival specialist in the military I'd like to think I've picked up a few good tips along the way! Fingers crossed you do, all the best R
Lol, fair one👍! Not a lot of danger there Conny, think it’s just Tragopan for now! It’s a small and great company and I like doing them and do totally love their products, if I didn’t I wouldn’t try and pretend. Hope this doesn’t put you off the channel? Always enjoy your comments and support 🤞🏻👍

Nice one they are a great hide, best of luck and I hope you get some great shots 😀👍
Really nice review Richard, I'll be in the market for a new hide later this year. Seems very well thought out mate👍

Very interesting and thorough review. What a great location.Alison.
Thanks Alison, probably not for everyone but if you are in the market for one they are hard to beat in my opinion. Cheers R
Hello Richard , very nice content you got ( especially your barn owl photography ) , do you work as a wildlife photographer full time

@@RichardBirchett no problem
I'd really love to have one of these but I haven't come across anywhere where I'd be able to set on up and not risk getting it stolen.

What kind of small tripod do you use in that?
I used a Gitzo GT3543LS series 3 tripod, but quite often use a spider or a small Manfrotto Mini which works well on a light outfit. Regards R
