Not only is Welonz a top platformer player, but she's also a top old school arcade gamer. :)
I'm really glad they brought Steph back she brings so much personality to her scenes. It's been really interesting seeing how much of an impact the character had on people even with her limited screen time in BTS ❤
Btw after you talk to/help someone their emotions or thoughts might change if you scan them again afterwards.

This game has some of the feel of the original. I didn't get that as much with the others. Riley's last name is "Lethe" - the daughter of Strife, the avatar of oblivion, the name of the river of forgetfulness - these games are big on that kind of thing; I'm going to guess that's a not-so-subtle hint.
Honestly, the name Lethe was one of the very few things I didn't really like about the game. It's way too on the nose, makes it a bit immersion breaking.
This is the best LiS game imo. And that's coming from someone who loved the original.
Also I think you'd actually have to look up what "Lethe" meant in most cases if you weren't in tune with that part of culture. Like you could say that about Ryan and Jed's last name too. Clearly there's symbolism but there's not necessarily a clear thing without looking things up.

Hey, Welonz! Not sure if this is considered a tip, but sometimes people's emotional states change after you speak to them/respond to them in a certain way, so it's always nice to check what they're feeling!

@@Welonz Do you have the music on as you actually play? Makes me a bit sad so many folks are streaming this game with the music completely muted. Changes some of the scenes from really touching to just really awkward.
Yup! I need to hear what it sounds like to even begin finding a royalty-free replacement for it (as best I can 💀). Unlike other games music is so central to LIS I don't think just muting is acceptable, esp when you have scenes like Alex and Gabe jamming lol.

One of the personal questions you can ask Steph during the Jukebox game is why she likes this song, and she says that the title makes her laugh; and I like how coincidentally, it made you chuckle too when you were initially scrolling through the albums :P
I think the "rattlesnake shots" note was about shots of alcohol, not actual injections. If so, that's a cute little joke.

Oh crazy I didn't know you could complete this minigame I only played so long that I would get the highest score so I lost with full intention. I didn't think you could really complete this mini game. Makes me wonder if this also applies to the first mini game.
It's really nice to see this from another persons view. I look forward for your other parts of the first episode (I only played first episode yet don't want to spoil myself).

Also, I'm excited to watch your full playthrough of this game and hear your thoughts about it! I finished it earlier today, and I personally think it's on par with the first installment of LiS, if not better. Deck Nine definitely outdid themselves with this one! Well, in my opinion. XD
Main story: I like them both but prefer LiS 1. Still, episode 3 of TC was the best in the entire series in my opinion.
Characters: these are better developed and have more depth (Chloe is an exception, obviously)
Dialogue: TC is so much better.
Technical aspects: there's just no comparison, the animations alone put this game on another level. Still, not really fair to compare tech in this case.
Soundtrack: can't choose.
Romance: everyone has their ship so this is too personal lol But at least we can say that in TC both romance options seem good (sorry Warren, there's NO way). I still like Chloe and Rachel the most though, but that's another game.
Overall I like this one better too, but I have to say that we needed at least 2 more episodes for them to be able to charge full price. And there would be no need to put any fillers as there was more than enough room to explore some of the side stories and characters. Similar AAA titles (Detroit and Until Dawn come to mind) did a lot more than they did here, and while I would pick LiS over any of them anytime because I love the franchise so much, it doesn't change the fact this is in fact great AA game, and should be priced accordingly.

aww, I had an arkanoid like this for PC when I was a kid! Called DX-Ball, even had the same power-ups and stuff (but not the boss battle). When you couldn't get the last brick for too long, the lightning zapped it :)
That game has a special nostalgia for me. There was a computer someone loaded with DX-Ball in one of my more laid-back high school classes, and people got competitive over the high scores. I spent way too much time on it that year.
I was eagerly await for the new episode but then I realized this game needs to be slow cook, I will just sit back and relax for now.
This is very true. I'm playing through it myself currently, and I have to force myself to take breaks and not rush through it all in one sitting. Enjoying the characters and the atmosphere so much that I don't want it to end too soon :D

I wish you uploaded these more often. I wanna watch you play this the most out of everyone but there are so many other content creators a lot farther and I just finished chapter 2 and I want to see someone play that now.

Honestly, while waiting it's hard sometimes, I'd much rather wait for someone who really took their time to fully explore the game, than watch someone who rushed it. I absolutely love that there's four long episodes for the first chapter. Others tried to rush through in 1-2 hours to fit it into one episode. Welonz on the other hand takes the time to explore everything, in spite of having a really high workload already... And to make things worse, this game has A LOT of licensed music she needs to replace. Things like that are what set this channel apart from all the others.
