Water temperature in the Baltic sea: I live on the island of Gotland (Sweden) and we have normally 18-19 degrees Celsius in August. Not hot but fairly warm and sweaty for a seal. And warm enough for the thousands of tourists that show up. :)
I feel the most awesome animal we have here is the Eurasian Lynx. Beautiful and actually pretty large predator (think mountain lion in bigger)... also: it's a cat somewhere right between a pretty large felidae and a medium-small panthera... And I'm a crazy cat bloke to beginn with😹. Best regards Raoul G. Kunz
Odd how it's sometimes 'assumed' an animal species is specific to a certain area, country, island or continent...?! I once saw a video on _Christmas Markets_ in (I think?) France or it might have been in Germany, (sorry, I forget), where 'model reindeer' were seen amongst the many lovely, often lit up and brightly coloured Christmas decorations ...and the comment by the (American young woman, in her early twenties, from Texas) 'Reactor' was apparently extremely surprised, or "shocked" to see the full-sized _reindeer models_ were based on how they really looked in the wild ...as she didn't believe "reindeer" were _actually real animals_!! Paraphrasing her response as it was over a year since I watched it... "No... They're not real...are they...?! I thought they were made up... I think they're made up... Reindeer aren't _real_ animals, not like moose...?!" Um...?! 😮🤔🇺🇲🤔😏
Reindeers were invented by Coca Cola in the 30s ... together with that fat guy with the white beard that comes around every christmas ... just like "there was no colour before colour TV was invented"! OBVIOUSLY!

McJibbin, man, I love you to bits. Possibly one of my favorite ever US reactors on TH-cam. But damn! "Germany has Seals?!" OOps, that was an Americanism I will almost forgive you for. Seals are effing everywhere, and for a moment it was almost like "What? - Romania has TV?!" Nah, forgiven, love you too much for that
You were spot on with that North Atlantic Current! Atlantic Sea Stream: A Component of the North Atlantic Ocean Current System The Atlantic Sea Stream, also known as the North Atlantic Current, is a warm and swift ocean current that originates at the tip of Florida and flows northward along the eastern coast of North America, then turns eastward across the Atlantic Ocean towards Europe. It is a vital component of the thermohaline circulation, also known as the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC).
Only affects Britain though ... and it might change course to go more northerly due to climate change. MIGHT ... but if it happens, Britain will be a lot colder.
Then it's a "Problem Bear" because it behaves like... a bear... Also common, especially in the south, is to go panicky when someone sees a wolf... insta-kill...tufftätata...
The Wadden Sea is a Unesco World Heritage site, that stretches from the Netherlands, along Germany, to Denmark.

The baltic sea has mostly the same temperatur than the north-west coast.
We have seals in Australia too! 🦭
Elk bulls usually call in August and September, so seeing one in a snowy landscape calling out for any females is pretty uncommon Connor.

Whilst a sense of humour is good
People really _really_ should
Know their place and when to call
A reindeer what it is, an' all
The smow-shod beast, the antlered furry
The Christmas four-legged big (not blurry)
Creature which, up front is lit
By a red-nosed, flying bit
Which lights the way on Christmas Eve
For grand old man in red-suited sleeve
To pull a heavily-laden sleigh
With good children's gifts for Christmas Day
Til then, reindeer graze amidst pastures green, or with snow cover
For everyone this season's lover
Will therefore with a tingling bell
Sound the way o'er dale and dell
Til every (well-behaved) child receives
A gift (but _only_ if they believe)
That Father Christmas, Santa or St.Nick
Has from his sleigh, a selection to pick
What's right for each appropriate age
A present from chosen catalogue's page
And so to next year, when busy elves create
Something new, some small, some great
So everyone gear up to be
The very best behaved, so smilingly
St.Nick, Father Christmas, Santa an' reindeer
Will fly to all in bright splendour an' cheer
To fulfil each wish, upon Mid-Winter's Day
With Three Cheers, hip, hip, hip hooray!?
