Their interesting history began in 1887 when Captain Bean, of the Boston police force, offered a reward of $500 to anyone who could escape from Bean-Giant cuffs with or without the key. He, of course, was to personally lock the cuffs on the wrists of the challenger. The challenger’s hands behind him and with the keyhole facing upwards towards the body. Once the challenge was accepted and the money won by Houdini, but as he never revealed his method he didn't claim the prize.
An infamous handcuff that has a fierce reputation for being inescapable.
Time to prove the 140 year old myths and legends were wrong.....
Here is how to escape the notoriously difficult Bean Giant handcuff
Love the historical context.

@The.fighting.lockpicker - I love the fact they still function great - 140 years old and still working. I have some modern cuffs that give up the ghost so quickly (looking at you STARR from spain)
Very nice indeed.
@SilentButDescriptive - Thanks buddy 👍
That is sooo cool!!! Roughly how much is a person expected to fork up if they come onto the market?
@IsamuSushi - Obviously condition is a massive factor, but if you Google Bean Giant Auction you will see some examples that sold recently.
I am now a poor locksporter ...... 🤣🤣
