Advice to anyone doing it! Replace EVERYTHING if you got the chance, DRL/Highbeam, Low Beams, Blinker lights and Side parking marker lights. I did this and realized with the amount of work involved and risk of snapping bumper tabs, just buy ALL the bulbs you need and replace them at once so you're good to go for 2+ years.
June 2021. Used your video to replace daughter's headlights which were yellowed beyond polishing out. Everything went without a hitch. Thanks for taking the time to make this.
Thanks very much for taking the time to make this video, it’s very straight forward. I’d also like to mention that this procedure is for changing the entire light assembly and is NOT necessary for simply changing out the bulbs. To change out the bulbs, you only need to twist out the connector from behind the light assembly housing,; no tools required. This is just to clarify for earlier comments expressing concern that all this work is necessary just to replace a bulb.
Got 'em done. Excellent video, thanks for taking your time to produce it. Followed your instructions to a T, everything was just as described, it was no big deal and only required 2 hours of my time. I got to learn about my car some and saved some money in the process, and it was easier than I thought. My car with new LEDs and headlamp assemblies looks great now, and my ability to see and be seen during night time driving is now vastly improved.
Watched all the other videos on TH-cam for this generation accord. They were all pretty helpful together but yours is the one that made me take on the challenge! Thank you.
And now you have one new headlight and one old frosty one! Great video though. Just eBay'd a set for $70 and LED bulbs for $50. Thanks for posting this video. Very professional
I’m about to replace both headlamps with upgrade to led. So seeing this vid was perfect timing. Hope it goes as easy. Did get new clips. Will also paint front bumper, replace rear bumper & damaged rear mounting bracket.
My question would be if you change one, should you change both sides because the the older one is going to be dull and cloudy and the new one bright and clear?
I changed my blinker and high beams just under the hood and to change the lows you turn ur wheels outwards of which side you are replacing and go under the fender
Great video instruction. I found this to be a great help in executing the job. One recommendation though which will make the reassembly much easier. Purchase new plastic push pin fasteners before starting this job. When I removed the original fasteners, over half of them broke apart due to being brittle from age. My Honda Accord is a 2010, seven years old when I performed this job. Hope this advise helps. I was replacing both oxidized headlights and the job took me about 3 hours.
Agree with Paul, I did the same thing, bought clips first. You wouldn't want to be unable to complete your job just because you didn't buy a bag of new plastic clips.
Hey Paul. I know this is a really late response, apologies. Do you know what size plastic push pins I would need to purchase? I am looking everywhere and I can't seem to find the size and don't want to end up buying the wrong ones. Also is the clip size different for the bumper and other parts where I need push pins? I am trying to replace my headlights on my 2012 Honda Accord. Thank you so much!
Hey man great video. It really helped me throughout the entire process. Does anyone know where I can find new push pin fasteners? They all broke and I cannot find them anywhere.
Exactly. I just bought some lights, figured it take me a few min. Holy crap! Now I'm just gonna take it somewhere. I ain't got all day to change out a light bulb.
@@joebobjenkins7837 Wait... to change a light bulb all you have to do is remove the rubber grommet behind the headlight and then just replace the bulb. This video is on how to remove the entire assembly.
Back in the old days changing a headlight was for screws... But now with aerodynamics and plastic (polycarbonate) headlights and replaceable bulbs, changing the bulb is easier but changing the entire headlight assembly is a lot more difficult.
Is there a way just to change the bulbs without removing all that stuff I have an 09 Accord and the headlights are horrible not bright enough there has to be a way just to be able to change the bulbs without removing all that
Thanks for the guide. I went to a mechanic to replace my headlight with a different style aftermarket one and now my headlights won't move up or down when I use the adjuster. Is there any way to replace the adjustment bolt or did they do something wrong?
No problem. Hmm, that's tough without seeing it. I would double check with them to see why it won't work. I don't see why it wouldn't unless it's somehow not compatible with the new lights or something.. Let me know how you make out
Thanks for the quick reply. I didn't have the problem before with my original OEM headlight assemblies, even with using non-oem bulbs. I think it has something to do with these new assemblies, since I had a random mechanic install them instead of me doing them myself (my mistake). I'm going to do a bit more research and maybe even ask Honda. I'll keep you posted.
Great video, need to replace my lights on my 2010 accord, the lenses are so fogged, i tried the cream but did not work well. Thanks! (can you come by and help me do it??) :)
And at $125 per labor hour... Your $3 light bulbs that burnt out now will cost you $300, if you're lucky! DAMN GOOD ENGINES but everything else, trim, dash lights, interior is not good quality and within 5 years Boom! There it goes!

Replacing all bulbs isn’t necessary, on the owners manual it tells you how to change them without taking off bumper and headlight.
Nice. Dealership told me $800 each, low quality mechanic told me $800 total, bought my own for 150. Amazing

exactly what i was thinking
probably the nicest video out there in video land ....nothing but pure info....thank you ....
You're welcome! Thanks for you feedback! 😁
You made it look easy. I'll be changing mine this weekend with the help of your video. Thanks!
I had a poniac grand prix and changing a head light wasn't anywhere near this complicated. thanks for the video, best reference i found online.
Thanks for watching! Yea, some are easier than others..
Great instructions. Right to the point for each step. I appreciate instructionals like this. Thanks man!

Why go though the trouble of replacing one & leaving a foggy bad one?
Wow, that's pretty involved. Thanks for making this video! I might need to do this soon and was wondering how much work it was.
His video saved me $300+. Thanks!
that's how much it would cost at a shop?!
I like the "chiropractic action" part. :)
Very good and helpful video 😀👌

10 mm and your in business. Thanks I'll be doing this soon and you saved me broken clips and lots of time with guess work.
+brp0u12 No problem, thanks for watching! It's amazing what you can do on a Honda with a 10mm!
do I need to do all of this to change out just the light and not the entire housing? Or is there an easier way to replace just the lights?

Perfect video and for the 72 that didn't like your videos are straight up haters
You do not have to take it all apart to do that. You can do it from just by removing the plastic tire wall
This video was very helpful for me and my issue with a broken headlight bracket. Thank you. Paul
Sure thing, thanks for watching!
Gotta say bro. This vid helped me A LOT.. Thank you!
Great, thanks!
Thank you, such amazing instructions. I will now get the exact same year model and color of that accord now

AniAngelSupeBat go to a Honda dealership, the parts department will be able to tell you.. also bring one of the clips with you to show them..

Great, thanks! I'd just go to a local Honda dealer and they should have them
great video, everyone else is explaining how to replace light bulb.
I now have a new appreciation for Hondas and the simple engineering that goes into them.
+Tom Razmologov Agreed, I can't imagine how time consuming it must be to make sure everything fits perfectly together.

Great job in describing step by step
All this WORK just to change a FREAKIN lightbulb??? It's driving me NUTS already!!! :(
You make it look soooooo easy! Thank you.
Good video bro, it's an option to replace headlights versus having oxidation restore job.....thanx for the detail vid.
Great instructional video. Everything work as presented. Ya' da' man!!!
This was a fantastic video! Completely accurate. I agree with Paul below. Buy your replacement clips ahead of time. You will need them!
Thanks! It was my first time doing it and I was figuring it out as I filmed, ha
Hello I have a 2008 Accord coupe. Do you think it's the same process to replace headlight? Thank you
Hi, yes, it should be very similar, if not exactly the same
I used to work on cars with my dad. How did I never realize how much work went into changing a head light 😂
Back in the old days changing a headlight was for screws... But now with aerodynamics and plastic (polycarbonate) headlights and replaceable bulbs, changing the bulb is easier but changing the entire headlight assembly is a lot more difficult.
Thanks for the perfect video. It was a pain in the ass to do, but your instructions are flawless. 2011 Honda Accord LX-P.
Glad it helped!

great vid, will come in handy when I change both my headlights
Great!
Awesome job dude. Thanks
Hi, is it possible to change just front "glass" from another headlight? It's glued or something?
If you do that, you typically have to bake the light in the oven
Thank you so much man that really helped me out today
Great video - it obviously keeps on giving - THANKS
Great video, need to replace my lights on my 2010 accord, the lenses are so fogged, i tried the cream but did not work well. Thanks! (can you come by and help me do it??) :)
Does anyone know where he got those headlights from ????
Where did u order it? I wanna replace mine too
Outstanding! Are the new lights from Honda or are they aftermarket? How much were they?
Hi, it was Honda, but was used on ebay. Maybe $50?
Nice video. Can you please make video on how to install the high beam lights on that same Accord. Thanks.
Hi, I'm sorry I don't have access to the car
Great job man
Started here with my 2012 Accord EX-L now I’m on the path to get a 435i xdrive
Nice!
All that work boii atleast I hope you bought nice new bulbs for your nice new head lamps.
very nice job.Thanks.
Nice K24 Vtec engine. Very fast! 👌
Ok, at least I know not to try and do it myself. Ha. Great clear and prodciddd

How to change lightbulb to 2008 Honda Accord
I just did this a second time within 2 years omg.
Very helpful video thank you!
Great, thanks!
I once owned a Honda accord, but I blew a bulb and sold the car.
Great tutorial
Good video but damn ! I might just buy a new car..
Hey :) same for 05 accord? Thank for vid
That hoodie though! Can I borrow it?
what brand of headlight
Those are OEM Honda lights
Great video, thanks.
Thanks!
How long did it take to do the job? Looks great!
Hi, probably an hour. It's been about 2 years since I did it, so it's hard to remember
Kies Motorsports how are the lights holding up? Have they faded or become foggy? Any issues with the replacement headlights in the past two years?

Thanks!
All I need is to change the little yellow bulb for turn signal!! 😩
Changing headlihts needa to be easier like yo, u have to put apart the whole front just for a bulb 🤦🏻♀️
is this a coupe or a sedan?
Sedan
Thank you very much
You're welcome!
@@KiesMotorsports I have do the same work in my house with my Honda accord 8. And it take me about 2 hours
great job
Thanks!
+Kies Motorsports In model 2013 it's basically the same procedure??
All this to change a light bulb! looks like job security for Honda
Never mind read he got it used on eBay
I hope he put new bulbs with that new thing all that work would suck to do just to replace some lights lmfaooo.
The owner should have purchased the other headlamp, since you were already in there. I can imagine OEM was a ton of $$$$$$$!!
It was cheap, I think it was only like $40, since it was used
I bought a brand new pair online for $110 (might have been Amazon)
Thanks
I think this video has wrong description he is replacing
the whole headlight assembly not just a bulb.
It does say headlight not bulb.
I see the right side. Someone do the left side!
Should be similar, if not exactly the same :)
you got to be kidding...
You gotta ducking kidding me... all this to change a friggin bulb?! I call BS!!!
Lmao! This is definitely not how you do it! There is a much easier way if you just look in the owners manual 😆
This is a headlight replacement, not a bulb :)
wow never buy a honda all that to change a headlight assembly
Great video! Thanks!
Thanks
