Cool fact about the "crack" after an upshift. The engine is being completely shut off for 1 position stroke, basically misfiring on purpose. There is still fuel and air that gets delivered to the pistons, since the spark plug doesn't fire during the shift(programming), the unburnt fuel gets pushed out the exhaust stroke and ignites on the hot exhaust. This ensures the gear shift can be aggressive and smooth. I love it on my Kona N and my old Golf R.
So, you don't find a 469HP 4 banger exciting? I guess you have no knowledge or understanding of cars, to not realize how cool that is. And giving a full warranty with it too at oil change intervals between 15k km/1year. The M139 is not your average "2.0L turbo" you don't like your small engines if you don't appreciate the king.
In 2022, the GLC43 cost about $2,000 more than a X3 M40i, base prices. Now in 2024/2025 the GLC43 is $3,000 more than the new X3 M50i and it has a 4cyc engine. Impressive
In 2022 the GLC 43 had a terrible 55/45 weight distribution. Now in 2024/2025 has a decent 49/51 weight distribution. Except for this, I agree with you, this suv sucks, lol

Plus, I have a feeling the quality of the interior of the new GLC it’s worse.
The GLC 63 will likely be equipped with a 4-cylinder hybrid engine. There’s no justification for giving it more cylinders than the C-Class, as the GLC is essentially a taller version of the C-Class. You can already order the GLC 63S in germany and it is a 476 PS + 204PS 4cyl hybrid.

Overall, nice ride. Would I choose MB - nope.Looks are sibjective to every persons liking/taste. I'll stick w/AUdi's B8 superchared and/or B9 turbocharged SQ5 because I personally find those two easier for DIYs and to live with. Plus plenty of aftermarket support
Looking for the 2024 GLC 43 and 2024 golf R merch on website , any discounts on merch now ?🙂
I don’t know how they managed to make it sound like that but damn! It sounds really good for a 4 cylinder and I can appreciate the electric sounds it gives off too
Yuri we need a MK4 GTI/R32 shirt.
Guys how does this drive compare to the cle53 you reviewed? Obviously different cars but I love the looks of both and I don’t have kids so I don’t need major room in the back. Current car is a 2021 c43 wagon which sounds like heaven and is equally awesome to drive. Would love to hear your thoughts!
I do dig this, but the all-screen UI worries me.
No, dude, not the Audi Q5 or the Macan; they're VW's "engine-ahead" platform (MLB). And the X3 is bad BMW exterior design. This 43 is the best choice.
Intro music went too hard. One of my favourite channels fr
Am I completely insane or does the shape of GLC look better than GLE? I’ve seen the latest E at the dealer and like the fifth generation way more. The fourth generation E is my second favorite.
there is no fifth generation gle
@@smar1208 Hey friend. Please read my comment accurately. I said, I’ve seen the latest “E” at the dealer and like the fifth generation way more. I did NOT say I’ve seen the latest GLE at the dealer and like the fifth generation more. Mercedes E and GLE are two different classes. Please understand this. Have a great day! 😁
@@smar1208 I'm still wondering what his MOST favorite generation E is. We know the fourth generation is his second favorite.
No, it looks like a blob. For me the Velar is still the best look on the segment.
@@BuffShady you shouldve said e class then, just "e" could very easily refer to gle as you were comparing the gle with the glc the sentence before
Do those memory controls also set the mirrors?
I’d love to buy this over a CRV…my testosterone levels need a boost. Really wanted Jakob to say, “Raptor Thumbnails are ALWAYS better😏”
B1 and B2 are back!
prefer the grecale trofeo
This looks way better than a X3 M50 but the BMW has it beat when it comes to engines.
I know Michelin is prob #1 when it comes to tires, but I really like Continental and for some reason, every time i get them on my cars, the tire technicians say something akin to "you're getting some Contis? nice, dude!" lol Got them on a Camry and F150
Conti gang for life
the exact spec of car i want in life
but only costs above US$ 250,000 in Nepal
Will any of these engines last over 100k miles?
Jeez, bring the 6 cylinders back
Would be nice but I think the 4 cylinder applied here is not bad at all
@@SM-1010 honestly the 4 cylinder doesnt sound that bad but thats only the least of peoples concerns. it just wont be as reliable, anywhere near as smooth and in many cases will be less fuel efficient compared to a 6 cylinder. the aftermarket potential is also missing. if you want a quick, efficient, comfortable luxury crossover you have the xc60 polestar. if you want something aggressive and fast yet refined you have the x3 m40i. this feels like it combines the worst of both.
@@smar1208 Yes I think Mercedes, especially, is great at combining luxury and sport. I also love how the upshifts sound like a DSG transmission.
Are you guys ever gonna review the 2025 tucson hybrid ultimate? Hurry up. I wanna buy one! 😅
I keep hearing electrified. Does anyone know if I have to actually plug it in to charge it (like a Tesla) or does it just recharge on its own? Does it run out of battery quickly and does it affect the performance if battery is low? please clarify
It’s just a hybrid. Drive and don’t think about it
The Alfa Romeo Stelvio looks better...
Yes, it's an 8 year old design, but it still looks better
A handcrafted turbo 2 liter gives me the ick. Not to mention the mild hybrid. This could only be worse if it was made in England.
Mercedes seen the Data that they can sell y'all a Black Series with a V-Tech, so the other models downstream was a no-brainer
Selling my 2020 GLC63S now, it’s been an awesome car..that v8 is a beast
Don’t sell it
sell it and get a V8 velar SVA autobiography
@@denalisiomontpellier4064 how long it gets stolen, if you’re not familiar I live in Toronto
@@y.y1678 That's interesting. I'm from Italy and I love Canada and I'm planning to apply for an IEC to spend 6-12 months in your country.
Ontario would be first choice. but I heard too many bad stories about Toronto to consider it.
I'm also somehow attracted by Saskatchewan and Alberta (that they say is a bit similar too Texas, where I spent 5 years actually) even though I'm scared by their brutal winters.
Decisions, decisions.
As for the car situation.
In Italy I sold my electric bmw, that has been painfully hard to sell.
Great car, but car lovers have hard time in this country.
In Saskatoon hey have a 2017 caddy ATS coupe with just 21k km that sounds like a good deal to me. I may get that car.
Love that car ❤
When are you going to do a review? On the 2025 BMW X1 M35I
Horse power and torqueeee ❤
Great review, missing the point on ride quality though. Sport SUV or not, there is no excuse for a too firm ride. These aren't sports cars and should float like a cloud in comfort mode. Pass for me as a prospective buyer..
Still waiting for that 2025 QX80 review!!
In yah dreams' Bill &Ted
I feel like the front end would look better without the giant logo, but a lot of people buy stuff like this purely for the sake of being able to have a giant logo for everyone else to look at?
Wow 416hp from a 2.0 liter. How much of that is electric?
I would rather take this 43 instead of the 63 with 4cyl… in my opinion this 4cyl suits pretty well but 63 should be a v8 or at least a 6cyl biturbo
very nice car but for the money Id get a base model GLE
Now that the Macan went electric, this might be the best option.
The creaking noise was why my friend brought a used Toyota 4 Runner instead of this.
The side steps are useless for functionality, I have them on my 2021 GLC43 and I've never used them. But tbey look nice.
Yeah not much extra clearance lol
Did I see a sneak peek at the new Q5 driving? 👀
