Just a tiny thing. Cicero appealed to the judges more on the grounds of their class, as patricians, rather than on their Roman nationality. An important piece of context to consider is that it had not been long since the dictator Sulla had given control of the courts to the patrician class, and they were worried that it might be restored to the control of the equestrian class.

Cicero had more wisdom than today's politicians. They should all study him.

Which of today’s U.S. politicians have shown ANY real wisdom? Name one who in the past 40 years has acted wisely - not simply spoken about wisdom. I’ll wait.

I’m a Cicero. I was named after him because my parents loved his works.
