I live in the USA. Tennessee specifically. What these guys accomplished with seemingly no resources is amazing. I'd kill to have a few buddies that have that kind of skill and determination.
Haha that's how Malaysian do it. We've never done an excavator before, but we did 4 4x4 tipper truck and there is one more in the works. Probably will be fully done in a month. Started with only chassis and the cabin. No engine
In Texas USA I couldn’t find people determined enough to do what y’all just did in the time y’all did if I had a endless budget, astounding work y’all did, I wish y’all the best
It amazing what you and your friends accomplished in 23 days. Great transformation from purchase to now. You are almost ready to start contracting to do dirt work.👍✌️😝👍✌️🙏
@@666goats it’s not a case of “putting lipstick on a pig” here, those old hitachi’s don’t know when to die, we’ve had plenty of them over the years. If left on light work that machine will easily last another 20 years.
This is an amazing restoration on so many levels! Not only is it saving a good classic machine from ending up parked and rusting away. But this is truly what I call a full restoration, seeing body panels, the cab fully removed and reconditioned is just WOW! Plus to do it outside without a modern repair shop, no overhead crane, forklifts to move parts as we have here in the U.S. is an impressive feat in its self. The teamwork and help as well as an impressive schedule to get it completed in 23 days is just wow! I have an old Cat D3B dozer that I had Cat restore as I had to burn some money to not pay taxes and they did nowhere the job you did in the time you did! It took them 5-6 WEEKS! So that is overwhelmingly amazing to see this in 23 DAYS! To show a great time-lapse of each day and combine it with what I feel is the perfect soundtrack as well is just all the way around phenomenal restoration project!!! It really shows what can be done with some commitment, determination, hard work, and basic tools! Plus you saved an older piece of equipment to give it new life for many years to come! Look forward to seeing many videos of you working it! Excellent job!!!
@@MAXROYMXCY No thank you for the awesome videos! It an awesome and what I find great, is despite many governments around the world with some that do not get along, it is seeing amazing video like that brings us all together, regardless, of race, color, country, language, religion and all of that. Again, it is very inspiring and shows you do not need all the fancy equipment we have in the West. Keep up the excellent work brother and I sure wish you all were here in the U.S. as you could definitely teach some more modern mechanic a few things! Keep inspiring and wish only the best for you!
@@danagrey3534 yeah. That definitely what we are looking at. To get us all together who ever we are and wherever we are. Wish to get some of of fancy equipment like what you have over there. That what we are really up to. To know more on modern mechanics things and that would be very great 😊
@@MAXROYMXCY That is great! But I don't know that you want our fancy equipment. A lot more electronics, computer boards, sensor and all of that, that can go wrong. Then you need a laptop to plug it in and find out what is wrong! LOL No thanks! Holding off as long as I can! I still like my old iron without all of the fancy electronics! Even older machines that date back to the late 1970's or machines with 7000 to 10,000 hours can still go for $10,000 USD starting out! Some are okay with the newer tier 1, 2, and 3, emissions engines and computer systems and some are like me who are old school . I can't wait to get my new TH-cam Channel started, but we are doing recycling and as I have said, I have to have our EPA approve our plan. But we are going to be crushing concrete, asphalt, making compost and a few other thngs.
@@danagrey3534 would love to learn these electronic kind of stuff. During this day everything are now going to an electronic system. For us who still love the old school is kind of advantage since it is easy to diagnose the problem with a very basic equipment. But anyhow we can’t deny the electronic system also. These electronic excavator here ex120-2 or ex120-3 here, no one want that cause it is electronic system control. The problem is that when come to diagnose the problem, very few of mechanic can do that cause we don’t have a proper tools. End up they by pass the electronic system and excavator running with no system. That’s great work you have there. Hopefully your EPA approval going well. Looking forward to see your TH-cam Channel start and share your work there. 😊
Hello from Ireland!!!! Fantastic work guys, the vents cut in the inspection doors are a great idea, keeps the engine a litte cooler, i need to do this as my head gasket is done🙈
I want it to be perfect, repair all the electric wires of the lights and the air conditioner, when we bring it, it feels like it just came out of the factory
I have a 120 and enjoyed watching this. It takes a lot of work, much more than the video is able to show in making this effort happen. It shows how hard work can make something happen.
Awesome 👌. Just two things bug me, no front glass in the cab, heavy rain and its over. Also the right side cab glass, seriously 😐 fill that gap in, thats another water entry point. Otherwise, plain pretty 😍
Yeah. We haven’t put the front glass yet. when heavy rains comes we put the plywood to prevent the water coming in. 😆 anyway we still searching for a new front glass door for the excavator. Thank you for your feedback 😊
I use to rebuild Cat dozers. We would replace every nut and bolt. Unit was just a shell when we were done and rebuild it after everything came back from paint. It took 2 of us 2 months to complete the job.
very good job. couple things different I would have done. Perhaps look into lights that can be mounted above the cab. Then perhaps spray a gloss coating over it. to give it a bit of a shiny look.

I’m in nc I have the same machine it was in a little bit better condition from the start but holy shit has it been a pain in my ass
AND, WORKING IN THE MUD TOO ! 😳
Done such a fantastic job of restoring this classic machine glad to see these old classic machines restored rather than left to rust and then scrapped
