  • You may have heard about something called YAML and wondered what it is. In this beginner's guide to YAML for Power Platform, I'll give you an overview of what YAML is and explain the key concepts of YAML like data types and key-value pairs. I'll also walk you through why you need to know about YAML as a Power Platform developer and how and where you can use it within the Power Platform including in Copilot Studio and Power Apps. By the end of the video, you'll have a solid grasp of YAML and be ready to start using it in Power Apps and Copilot Studio.

This was super super useful, April! Finally the tonic to get me to dig into YAML. Will definitely dig into the resource links you've shared and start playing with it. I think it's extremely useful to see what's happening behind the scenes, copy in VScode and then paste back etc. Thanks for sharing. 👍👍👍🙏

Wonder if / when we will see similar in Power Automate Cloud Flows? The classic designer always allowed us to copy the code and paste back in, like you demo'd in both Apps and Copilot Studio with YAML, but the new designer would benefit from this too. Very useful video April - thanks for sharing.

Very interesting video April, but i'm questionning wether Microsoft is moving smoothly this Power Apps tooling from a no-code/low-code to an actual dev tool.
I'm training people on the Power Platform, and more and more utilities like that (I love them of course) become more and more scary to the "citizen developers". What do you think ?

I was triggered by the misquote. Should be: "Bears, Beets, Battlestar Galactica"!

I noticed that when I was editing it. It wasn't me though! It was Github Copilot suggesting the incorrect quote lol. It triggered me too 😂

    More code into LowCode-NoCode.🤣
    Great learning nevertheless. Thanks April.
