Young lady they are one of the greatest groups of all time in such a short period!!!
The legend of Ccr everybody in usa knows the voice of John forgety 👍👍👏👏👏😎😎
Everyone here in Canada knows that voice too. At least those of us from back in the day ❤
With very good reason and not just in the US but here in the UK and all round the world. There was only ever one CCR and John Fogerty has always been an amazing songwriter & vocalist.
There's a great big no.of people in Britain that do know john fogerty as well ? There's no division me friend there's no doubt about the years of popularity in my corner of Britain as I'm 70 now and when I was young the old relations would join in singing choruses of hits by ccr ? Love the vid love the band long may they continue belting out classics as there music was so fantastic ? Who loves ccr =every bugger !
We know John Fogerty very well here in Norway too...🇳🇴
1971 was 53 years ago! I'm 73 now but it does seem like it wasn't that long ago until I look in the mirror.
Say Support, my Teenager timeto! 1970 I was 15 Years Old! In This Time the Band was great to and Germany! Greetings from Hamburg Old friend!❤🎉
@@Pokenoz940 My thoughts exactly!
Glad you loved the song, CCR was an amazing band with a unique sound. They have another fantastic song with "Rain" in the title called "Who'll Stop the Rain". Other great songs of theirs include "Fortunate Son", "Run Through The Jungle", "Down on the Corner", "Green River" and still many more you'll see other people list, I really hope this is a rabbit hole you explore because it will bear fruit.
Imagine growing up with all these songs. What a life.
I did i germany
Yeah. I did. CCR THE GREATEST❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yeah man I’m glad I started listening at 12 and now 16
A very big rabbit hole that you will love to go down. CCR one of the very best bands. Always love your reactions
Another great classic band with TONS of great music. I'd recommend, if you want to listen to more CCR;
- I put a spell on you
- Looking out my back door
- Born on the Bayou
- Fortunate Son
- Who'll stop the rain
- Bad Moon Rising
- Proud Mary
And I had to really narrow my list down...there really is a LOT of great songs you will love from these guys
No es un tema .original de ellos .es un cover.pero los covers .a veces son mejores que los originales.bueno al fin buenísimos rock country
Hi Ola, the songwriter John Fogerty (lead vocals) has said the song is about his brother Tom leaving the band in 1971. The group itself broke up in 1972.
They have a lot of great songs to check out. John also had a successful solo career. His voice is so distinct and recognizable.
Yes, John said he could see the band breaking up before the other guys did. They was still a hot band at the time.
Creedence were the biggest band in the world when John wrote this. But the animosity within the band meant only 2 years later they disbanded. Later John said, I made these guys rich and famous with my music but they were never satisfied. The lyric was how John felt, Raining on a sunny day was a metaphor meaning there should have been sunshine on their success but it was always raining.
CCR.... Proud Mary !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Original
Favorite all time band
Put a spell on you is a must my friend and Peace out girl ✌️ ☮️
CCR one of Americas great bands. John Fogerty the singer/songwriter. That video came many years after the song lol.
CCR is a quintessential American band of the 1960s-1970s. They were a unique and talented blends of genres: rock/pop, blues and country. John Fogarty, the lead singer was an outstanding vocal talent.
CCR is a legendary group. John Fogerty's voice is pretty special. Many of their songs are a bit short, but, they pack a punch. Beautiful every time. Thank you for sharing!
Superb reaction! CCR have so many great songs! "Green River", "Born on the Bayou", "Proud Mary", "Down on the Corner", "Bad Moon Rising", "Up Around the Bend", "Heard it Through the Grapevine", "Willy and the Poor Boys", "Lookin' Out My Backdoor". Just to name a few.
You could have saved some time by just listing their bad songs . . . .oh, wait, they didn't do anything bad ! 😊
More Creedence ❤
I saw CCR live at Meriweather Post Pavilion in May of 1969. Lifetime fan! No song of theirs will disappoint, but the live ones are best. The best bands are ALWAYS better live.
You need to jump down the CCR rabbit hole, so many great wonderful songs.😊
CCR was the band that the first Woodstock concert was built around. They have a huge catalog of classic hits from just a couple of years back in the late 60s to the very early 70s.
Born on the Bayou is an absolute must from CCR 🔥🔥
yes
Here forward it's CCR!
To answer the question: "Have you ever seen the rain coming down on a sunny day?" Yes in places like Houston and New Orleans.
They've sold 100 million records and only released 7 albums. John Fogerty Singer/Songwriter/Lead Guitar/Multi Instrumentals/Producer/Arranger was the genius of CCR. Please listen to "I Heard It Through The Grapevine". A soul hit for Marvin Gaye but John Fogerty reworked it as a bluesy rock song and his vocals are amazing.
a very good band 70' ,de bons souvenirs,👍👍💙
Back on the charts this year thats class
You really should hear their song DOWN ON THE CORNER.
This is one rabbit hole you are going to enjoy going into!!!!!
Midnight special 😍😍😍
It makes sense when you understand that the song is about the band breaking up.
So according to John Fogerty (the lead singer and guitarist) the music video is supposed to show a woman remembering the last day with her friends before the boy was shipped out for the Vietnam draft and died in combat.
The Rock N Roll pioneer, Bill Haley, said CCR was his favorite R&R group. He recorded several of their songs.
No body beats CCR!
One of the greatest of all time. Check out "It's Just a Thought" if you want one with a similar mood that shows off his amazing voice.
♥ CCR! I suggest these songs: Green River, Fortunate Son, I Heard It Thru The Grapevine, Down On The Corner, Sweet Hitchhiker & Travelin' Band
The best CCR songs to hit you in the feels are:
Lodi
Who'll Stop The Rain
Long As I can See the Light
Someday Never Comes
This song is super sad. It's about Tom Fogarty leaving the band. He and he singer John were brothers. As far as I know, their relationship was never good after Tom left in 1971 and ultimately he ended up dying. They did reconcile before Tom died, apparently barely.
They from the 60s and I love them 2024
John Fogerty is one of the most underrated guitar players ever
Do all the CCR you can. Legendary band!
What a great song, never gets old. I'm so lucky to have been there (1960's) to absorb such great music, and bands! Young lady you have an ear for great music.
You need to check out more of their music and do live performances
Please react to their song "Born On The Bayou"! A rocker!
If you like songs with catchy melodies, unique sounding vocals, great instrumentation, then keep reacting to CCR. Here are a few suggestions, Fortunate Son, Running Through The Jungle, Green River, Bad Moon Rising, Proud Mary. Was a pleasure watching your reaction.
Great pik!! ☘️🇺🇲
Bring more CCR
My Choices are, Heard to the grapewine and I put spell on you.
CCR is one of the GREATEST bands EVER! I feel like they get passed over a lot because of some other huge names in music, but CCR has every right to be up there with the greats I'm talking Zeppelin, Floyd, The Beatles. John Fogerty is a legend. He didn't allow the Woodstock director to use their footage from the show cause he thought it was such a disaster. There are videos of it on youtube and I'll let you be the judge but I'd love to have that kind of disaster lol. "I put a spell on you" Live from Woodstock is incredible!!!
They were the biggest- selling band in the US at the time. They were huge! On the radio all the time.
CCR is a great band, although not around long. John Fogerty's voice is one of a kind. You need to react to " Heard it through the grapevine", Born on the Bayou, Proud Mary, I put a spell on you, fortunate son, looking out my back door
"Up Around The Bend"
Especially the guitar intro. Iconic CCR 😀
Great reaction ❤
Hi Miss Ola !!!! CCR has some Great music 🎶 here are 2 more
1) fortunate Son
2) Midnight Special
As For Rain songs Here are A Few not all sad
1) Neil Sadaka ( laughter in the Rain )
2) The Cascades ( Rythem of the Falling Rain )
3) BJ Thomas ( Rain Drops keep falling on my Head )
4) Eurythmics ( Here comes the Rain again )
As always the like button 🔳 has been Illuminated 😊
This song is about the band breaking up while at their very best. Thus, the title. You can feel the anguish in his voice.
One of the best! Eventually, you will get around to listening to their cover of "I heard it through the grapevine". Whatever you do, ensure you listen to the 11 minute version! The short version is for radio play and cuts out the best part. Back in the day, if a radio station played the cut off version, i would switch channels. The long version however, is in my top 5 all time favourite songs. Along with The Doors and the Eagles, CCR would be my favourite American band.
Such a great song, from a legendary band. I'm not sure what the song lacked that someone thought they needed to add a video. But I love your reaction...you obviously understand how great this song is.
Love this video ( made long after the audio recording ) Maybe because I'm getting older & more and more memories , some bittersweet like what the video seems to be relating , are becoming more frequent has something to do with it . Memories of "When we was Fab" 🙂 (BTW "When we were Fab" is a George Harrison song , reminiscing about his younger Beatle days )
You'll find most songs of that era hover at a bit under 3 minutes in length. They needed to fit on one side of a "45"...45rpm record which was the equivalent of buying a song from a streaming service today. Those are limited to about 3 minutes and 15 seconds per side maximum. And it was mostly for AM radio play which also needed short songs to make plenty of room for the advertisements while keeping people listening by having quick change-up of popular tunes. Long songs rarely got played, if at all. 4 minutes was an eternity in radio world in that era.
Reminds me of my friend and his girlfriend we hung around together all the time, drove around in an old F - 150, got high, drinking and having a ball. What happened? Life!
CCR was huge in the late 60s and early 70s and had many hits. For a great, killer jam and deep cut, do Ramble Tamble off the great Cosmos Factory album. You have much to listen to and enjoy with John Fogerty and Co. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶
Good one. Great group, Up and around the bend , next ?
A great reaction to a Great song
This your watching is from a movie in which this song was played for it. CCR was very famous in the 60's & 70's. Check out their other songs. All of them are great....such a iconic band.
Some fifty-five years ago, some friends and I walked up to the box office at Fillmore West and purchased tickets to see them. Jethro Tull was 2nd on the bill. It was a good time to be a college kid in the Bay Area.
CCR was the biggest band in the US, back in the late 60s-early 70s. They had tons of hits. The most # 2 hits of anyone. Try 'Keep on Chooglin', if you like a real foot-stomping rocker. Or 'Effigy', 'Green River', a cover of 'I Put a Spell on You', there are so many! The music is swamp-rock, like Bayou country music in Louisiana, but the guys are from California.
"Have you ever seen rain" Sad but hopeful----CCR songs...check them all out!...no disappointments...
A great band from the past, they don't sing songs like this anymore and it's a shame.
listen to:
Asaf Avidan,
in a box ll - your anchor
Or
Asaf Avidan - In A Box III - Rock of Lazarus
you won't regret!!
Nice reaction....Check out more of them The y had a lot of hits...best regards
You're my girl sweetie hope you react to other favorite music of mine soon, love you beautiful 😎
Ya gotta check out "I Heard It Through The Grapevine", "Born On The Bayou" & "I Put a Spell On You" by CCR
CCR are very America 🇺🇸🇺🇲 😀
You gotta hear more CCR. They have a ton of great songs. Please listen to more
You should listen to the song called "AS LONG AS I CAN SEE THE LIGHT" Great song!!
not that long ago? 51 years, probably double how long you have even been alive...ya it was a long long time ago...and its still awesome
John Fogerty. The voice you hear crying through the forest of life.
John Fogerty has a great voice.
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜❤️
The hammond b3 organ is played by Booker T Jones from Booker T and The MG's.
CCR = 🔥🎸🌧🌦☔️
Maybe the song “Lodi” by CCR… one of my favorite songs
A very deep rabbit hole.
You should also react to the 1975 live version too!
Never seen this video before, must be from a movie, but this is definately a short version. They have endless hit somgs, I would recommend Born On The Bayou next.
That's funny- I just made the same mistake on songs.
no bad ass today he he
Do:
"LEAVE A CANDLE IN THE WINDOW" 🔥🔥🎵🎵❤️🎶
CCR is and always have been such a badass group! Another hit by them is,,, Bad Moon Rising! Fabulous song! Check em out! You'll love it! Have a groovy day! ✌️
Pay no attention to the video visuals, it is a fan video made many many years after the song release and it distracts from the actual message of the song.
Rule of thumb; if you see a video song that is made much later than the song recording, ignore it unless it is from the band itself from their official website as a re-release. Fan videos or from movie clips using the song are by someone with it's own interpretation just to monopolize on someone else's work.
Don't forget "Lodi"
If you dare, you should try, "I Put A Spell On You"!
Try Beatles song Yesterday......use the album version from the Help album
The singer is John Fogerty, lead singer for CCR, and who also wrote most of their music.
Dear, your pretty self has been captured by one of the best bands and vocalist from the 70s. John Fogarty and CCR is a rabbit hole you really need to keep exploring.
I now need to see you react on Nick Thurl's new song end up dead 😍
Check out "Sweet Hitch Hiker".
There’s two brothers John and Tom fogety and all there music is amazing
vibed with it a super lot. top tier musical content. theyard tttheyir song a couple days ago and I fell in love Do yourself a favor and listen to October Ends' new song. React to it, please 🤘
I call that type of voice raspy
Great reaction, John Fogerty sold his music rights early on unfortunately, so all these videos are more the vision of the corporate music company....a better one is Fortunate Son, at least the way they did the video
CCR SONG “WHO WILL STOP THE RAIN” as in the bombs falling from the sky. Coming down on a sunny day… CCR SONG “have you ever seen the rain “ thing that you can’t say but if you know you know…
I want to know if you know. Hay have you ever seen bombs falling from the sky. Two more CCR songs, bad Moon, rising, and fortunate son. The Vietnam war started in 1955 the US got involved in 1964 and stayed involved through 1975. The war would’ve probably ended shortly after 1968 when the north Vietnamese lost half of there men and equipment in a major defeat called a Tet offensive. Walter Cronkite comes on the nightly news and you have to understand there’s only three networks says what a great victory it was for the north Vietnamese, so they decided to continue getting millions more killed to win politically, but they couldn’t win on a battlefield.
He is referencing the Vietnamese war , the rain was napalm and bombs being dropped
💖💖👋👋🙌🙌👏👏
Check out "Psychotic Reaction "by The Count Five!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The live version is better
