I've now tested them out, oars against the pins, and they work well North Star. I also needed stops on the oars as it was hard to keep them from sliding out. I enjoy the challenge! Have you seen my boats? They too are designed and built as a personal challenge! BestRoy

Agree...still looking at the right bolt. Added a copper sleeve and will add a nut or two to lift the oar off the rail...

@@willo6848 might shape a hockey puck drilled to fit the pin for the oar to rest on...
