I want remind you all people who watched Vol.9 and started criticizing Ruby and Yang sisters relationship. In several episodes Yang tries to asked Ruby if she was okay, but was both interrupted and Ruby straight up ignored it. On episode 8 when Ruby was literally about get killed by Jabber Walker aka Neo. Yang immediately comes and saves her. And Imagine your siblings start yelling at your GF, why tf wouldn't you stand up in front of her? No matter who yells, Also she literally been caring about Ruby her whole life She is a great sister to Ruby she is an amazing GF to Blake. Try small parallel comparison between Winter and Yang here. These are two older siblings who were forced to take the mantel of parental figures as well, entering into the parent mode. That's not anger on either of them It's a stern, almost scolding look. you know in last episode of Vol.9 when they about to gives Ruby a group hug. If you slow it down or pause it right moment, you can see the relief you can see in Yang’s eyes and almost about to cry because she was so scared of Ruby wouldn't be the same. The way she's on the verge of crying happy tears when Ruby did come. The way she looks like she’s holding the most valuable treasure she truly have, the way Yang looks so grateful just to get the chance to hold Ruby in her arms again. I love returning to this video because as an older sister, I understand Yang. She does so much to make sure she's backing Ruby without trying to baby her. Notice how Yang doesn't just comfort Ruby but lectures her too, they don't always see eye to eye but at the end of the day she's there for her. Ruby also looks up to her older sister because she is what inspired her to be a huntress.

Ruby deflects and gets interrupted at every turn to talk about her feelings.

Oddly enough, this is one of the reasons I oppossed the Bumblebee Ship. I was much more attracted to the idea of Weiss and Blake (who did not have a proper family) witnessing the natural kindness and friendliness of the two sisters and slowly becoming a family (sistets) as a result. To me, Romantic feelings between the team destroys the narrative cohesion of the group (as we saw every season until 9 when they finally got over the will they won't they cycle).
Why can’t Weiss and Blake not have a sisterly bond? Blake was the first one to grab Weiss’s hand when her father came to berate her. And Blake not having a proper family? What do you mean?

Even though I love both Ruby and Yang, I still can't excuse Ruby's reaction when Yang fell into the Volume 9 island. She should've showed more emotion but Blake stole the scene. And yeah, she was fighting Neo but still I was expecting more from Ruby.
In her deffense, she was shocked that she didn't know how to react, I mean, we're talking about Yang, Ruby's sister, who has been with her through her life, and when she saw the only person who grow up with her "dying" in front of her eyes, it left her so shock that she didn't know what to say, sometimes you gotta think more deeper then just what the series tells you

I was much more attracted to the idea of Weiss and Blake (who did not have a proper family) witnessing the natural kindness and friendliness of the two sisters and slowly becoming a family (sistets) as a result. To me, Romantic feelings between the team destroys the narrative cohesion of the group (as we saw every season until 9 when they finally got over the will they won't they cycle).
Why can’t Weiss and Blake not have a sisterly bond? Blake was the first one to grab Weiss’s hand when her father came to berate her. And Blake not having a proper family? What do you mean?
@@pumpkinwarrior7138 If they are all threatened, we know who Yang and Blake will protect first. If anything Weiss would be the one least cared for (as she would care for all the others and not herself). The romantic relationship clashes with the sister relationship established in the first 3 seasons.

Even though I love both Ruby and Yang, I still can't excuse Ruby's reaction when Yang fell into the Volume 9 island. She should've showed more emotion but Blake stole the scene. And yeah, she was fighting Neo but still I was expecting more from Ruby.
In her deffense, she was shocked that she didn't know how to react, I mean, we're talking about Yang, Ruby's sister, who has been with her through her life, and when she saw the only person who grow up with her "dying" in front of her eyes, it left her so shock that she didn't know what to say, sometimes you gotta think more deeper then just what the series tells you
