I did my certified examination last july. To my surprise, the service portion wasn't just about champagne. They threw some flight service as well. Took me by surprise but ended passing. Such a great experience!
RIGHT??? I mean... I didn't pass the service portion but I too was surprised at the flight service and still don't know exactly what they are looking for. :(
Yeah it's full of misunderstood talents between our guests... You give them the wine to taste in case there is a fault (in their opinion) ( i don't know why we do that because normally I have already did it by then and if there was one i wouldn't serve it ) and then they start to analyze it like if you just tell them: "ok, now I give you this, and you give me a thorough analysis of every technical aspect of it, and what part of your life it makes you think about when you close your eyes". And after a few moments of intense and deep thinking they say: "it's different"
I spit my drink up laughing at the crosshairs on the duck.
Every true Champagne aficionado knows that sniffing the mist at uncorking is the ultimate treat...
Clear and straight to the point!!
