I finally bought a Paper Mario game after skipping everything after Super Paper Mario, ignoring all the warning signs, and had to force myself to finish it. Extra bit: I just finished Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling a couple days ago. Go play *that* and try to tell me Origami King wasn't utter garbage.

Skipped Color Splash because it followed too closely judging by the trailers. I only played The Origami King in December of 2021. It blew me away way more than I would've expected. Thing is I love the story of Super Paper Mario more for its ambition as a Nintendo story, let alone Mario story. SPM influenced western TV series like Steven Universe's main story, especially the big twist and how villains and relationships can get real tricky when the line is blurred. (Tippi is proto-Steven) Thing is, The Origami King had a different style of engagement with emotional stakes. The tone is very different from the 1st three Paper Mario games, but nonetheless impressed me. I do wish we got more characters with arcs besides Olivia, Bobby, and perhaps that Toad Archeologist, I don't feel they needed to change the battle system though since unlike Sticker Star confetti is needed to progress but isn't like Stickers because it isn't a battle resource at all. The three resources you get are badges for attacks, bought by coins, confetti for progress, coins and ocmpletion, and coins themselves for time adding and hints. Not to mention I enjoyed the simplicity of Origami King's combat, unlike Sticker Star where its problem wasn't being too simple but rather being too reliant on resource management.

Sure,having more original characters would be a neat touch,but with their gameplay I'm fine. The last 2 games brought some things to the table that not even TTYD has been able to bring,and despite all the hate they are still solid and charming games that deserve all the praise I'm giving them right now. By far the best Olly battle medley that I've seen putting all the themes during the second phase. A superb work as usual from you! Also gotta say that I loved the drumming in the second phase and the puppets part haha

I was BLOWN AWAY by the boss themes of "Origami King" so it's fantastic to see you cover one of the best (maybe more in the future, Tape is one of my personal favorites [I promise that makes more sense in the game than when I'm typing it out]), and I love you putting yourself in the arena it's a nice touch (the only real disappointment is that you didn't include the music where Olivia makes the Magic Circle, it might be short but it is absolute FIRE)!

The Sumo Bros in Origami King are the strongest Folded Soldiers in Olly's Army and Handaconda was created by Scissors,so I guess they count as members of the Legion

The soundtrack in this game was fire, and honestly I wanted to feel the same about the gameplay. It was a very enjoyable experience of a game though.
By far the best Olly battle medley that I've seen putting all the themes during the second phase. A superb work as usual from you!

I was BLOWN AWAY by the boss themes of "Origami King" so it's fantastic to see you cover one of the best (maybe more in the future, Tape is one of my personal favorites [I promise that makes more sense in the game than when I'm typing it out]), and I love you putting yourself in the arena it's a nice touch (the only real disappointment is that you didn't include the music where Olivia makes the Magic Circle, it might be short but it is absolute FIRE)!
King Olly's Medley sounds good on paper, but King Koi's Festival is even better! Don't fold now and bring us the Magikarp Festival Cover!
