Makes sense how an arrow can go through multiple enemies but the ZRG a high powered sniper can only kill 2 enemies at the same time

I love the Energy Mine for clearing hordes of regular enemies and hounds, but it's not good for damage on Specials and Elites, definitely give it a go. Also looking forward to you playing Forsaken!

I use the crossbow sometimes and I think it’s much better suited to training. It’s less punishing that way and you can pick the bolts back up after you shoot them.

Try the frenzied guard against Orda with any gun. You get extra damage and you can’t be damaged by the normal zombies only have to worry about elites

Because of the bullet pen just round up all the zombies by running in a circle then run away a bit then start blastin you’ll at most kill like 5 zombies with one shot really gud, then personally I use aether shroud

The absolute quickest way to level up your weapons is to get four players on die machine. Buy the door and bomb wall to the penthouse, and sit up there killing zombies till round ten. It's most effective if everyone puts a bullet or 2 into 1 zombie. Everyone will then get wexp when the zombie dies. That's the most effective way to maximize wexp. 2 people run ring of fire and 2 run toxic growth. Exfill on round 11 using the ring of fire back to back for extra xp. Me and my buddy usually get around 4 levels on weapons each doing this on a double double weekend with just the 2 of us. But with more people in game you get more exp.
