I love the chunky, bulky style of these monster bots, having all 3 on a shelf actually takes up some real estate. But I really want FansHobby to do a Sharkticon...think they're chunky style would absolutely nail it

Very fair review. I have Megatooth and think he's great. He's usually in monster mode where the different aesthetic compared to my more MP stuff is less of an issue; and I think he looks good with my UT Terrorcons. I'd like to pick up the other two but there's been other figures more important to me for the money, so if it happens it will be down the line. This feels like a quality company and I'm looking forward to seeing their Roadbuster. Also, I must say I hadn't heard about their connection to Fansproject but I feel a little vindicated. When Megatooth came out I left a post on your page hypothesizing that very thing and you were like "ok that's nice." :) Feels good to have called it!

Fans Hobby Monsterbots get a solid recommend from me. They are nicely stylised designs and the set of have a great presence on the shelf.

So by looking at the scene we can tell Feral Rex pushed him (K. Poseidon) from the shelf. Good review, nice figure. The bot legs look odd, but I consider this is a far better option than the official Titans Return Grotusque. As always, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. :)

Hey Bobby, forget the review and let's talk about that colossal shelf dive! I know Posiden felt the need to end it all but he didn't need to take Farrel Rex along with him! Not cool.
My condolences, I know that was some serious fat stacks hitting the floor right there. I know you have one heck of a glorious display with all your combiners sitting atop your top shelves but now I would be thinking it's the time to bring in some detolf shelves. That way if one starts to fall it has nowhere it can go. I'd give it a shot and again my condolences. Hope everything survived.

Got all three. I like them. They look great with the kingzilla and kingrilla.. i agree those legs are a pain. They have their own shelf. Ft Lupus is there as well.

I only have Doublecross (Feilong) and I really enjoy him but I concur on all these points. Still I guess they’d want to keep a uniformity for these specific figures, but for sure I would like to see future figures showing more of a range/versatility of sculpt.

I picked up Feilong and this guy at TFCON. Flypro is definitely my favorite of the two. I like the "refined" bulky clumsiness. It brings me back to that G1 feeling but with articulation. If that makes sense? They are worth the money to me, I'll be picking up Megatooth to complete the set.

Poseidon looks like a semi truck wreck on the highway, stuff all over. Did you hear a loud crash when he fell? Please do an update once he is back together, I hope there isn't any serious damage.

I love these guys - I have to tighten up the alt mode knees with epoxy on most of them though. I love Poseidon, he's my favourite combiner, but you have to add your own rubber stickies to his feet or they have the tendency to slide a bit. That being said he's been on my shelf for months without those with no problem because I posed him with this in mind, so like any combiner/transformer/toy, you really have to have a knack for sensing weight distribution/tolerance when posing/displaying a large item. IMO he is solid except for the frictionless feet which are frankly fairly obvious and easily fixable. All of this requires foresight unfortunately.

Agree on all points. Just completed this set and wow these guys are shelf hogs they require some serious display space.

It's a pretty cool figure, the paint is clean and the sculpt is very nice...! but, it can be a bit bulky..

I’m still on the fence with this set. I saw Megatooth at TFCon, he looked good in person; I have Feilong (I had Doublecross as a kid, and he was a favorite of mine, so that was a no-brained), but he really didn’t impress me. So I’m still dancing around going all-in on these guys, but other purchases have out-weighed my desire to complete the set. That said, Flypro looks great in both modes and looks to be a decent value for the money with the accessory pack...hopefully we get a bit of a release drought prior to CNY so I can pick them up.

That's one of my worst nightmares one of my bots taking a nose dive and trying to take another with it lol BTW YOU ARE ONE OF MY FAVORITE REVIEWERS. Great review Skull Brother!!! I think this guy looks amazing and I'm probably going to have to pick him up. I also liked their repugnus. The second release they had wasn't bad but just didn't hit me in the feels so that ones an easy pass. I'm really excited to see where this company goes as I feel they have a ton of potential. BTW what an expensive shelf dive. Seeing him there like that actually hurt my heart lol. Anyway I hope he survived and keep up the great work...

What I'd love to know is......did they take the guy who engineered Smartrobin with them? Because I sure haven't seen that level of toy from FP in a long ass time!

Not just from the rumours (you mentioned FP connection), but from the anime style, awkward leg clearances and general approach, I can't help but feel that these designs were originally intended to be part of Lost Exo Realm.
A size comparison to an FP Dino might've been interesting - could perhaps explain the size comparison you showed making him not quite look right among MPs?

Really?! I saw the hurriedly-taken-down fanshobby publicity that name-checked other brands their designers had worked for - including LER. But I didn't know these were definitely originally intended for LER. I could see that it was the same designer, of course. Makes me wonder exactly what the legality might be - if the designer was employed by FP and made these designs for them on their time, wouldn't that make them their IP? It all makes me - as I often am - worried what it might mean for Pinchar. FP's silence on the matter is deeply troubling...
It's funny, really. After Fans Hobby makes theirs, Hasbro comes through to male their Grotusque as well, as fast as it came out, which wowed people, I guess. I'll say this though, Fans Hobby's looks much better though, I'll admit.

Not sure but i'm betting the legs are upscaled versions of the fans project dinobots. they seem a little too familiar. Went and checked your website and its down. Any time frame on when that might come back? I know your probably swamped with this being post tfcon. One slight suggestion about an art piece though. Circle of Light in a pose similar to seven samurai.

You need to raise his chest more in bot mode. Better proportions, be TALLER robot, and better waist movement. From the box, they compared his chest into his belly. extend that. I have this guy and I love it. I like the size as I prefer Dinobots to be bigger. Kibble doesn't bother me. I never liked the Monsterbots, but this Flypro won me over. They're well made, good MP versions that I don't think any other 3P will really make. No bits fall off of mine FWOW/ Worth the money for me. You had the chest extended properly at the Final Thoughts of the video. He's taller there than in the beginning.

The monsterbots should be the same size as apeface and snapdragon. So if anything mp8 is to small, shocking I know.

Nice socks man! lol I agree with your assessment of this figure. I own it and love it, but I agree, some fine tuning for this company would be great. Too bad there about Poseidon, I hope all is well with it. Great review man, great review!

Ugh dude sadness. Glad I skipped on that combiner thank you. TFC and probably all combiners should now require something similar to the HotToys Coochie Cradle.
