- Hey everyone! I crocheted by very first cardigan! It was so much fun and Wilfred seemed to like it too.. (the yarn specifically). How does my cat love yarn so much?! He wouldn't leave me alone!
I learned how to crochet back in Fall 2021 and it was the best decision ever! I initially started doing it because it helped relieve my anxiety, then it quickly turned into one of my favourite hobbies. So far I've crocheted 2 hats and a cardigan! I've also already started crocheting my second cardigan since completing this one! Although I made a lot of mistakes a long the way and had to frog a bunch of stitches, it was so rewarding once it was completed. I started this project on January 11th, 2022 and officially finished it on February 20th, 2022. It took just under 1.5 months which is pretty good considering it's my first time crocheting a full garment! I am sooo proud of it I don't ever want to take it off!

Your cardigan is lovely and you did a fantastic job! I used to crochet afghans, bedspreads, and sweater vests for my daughters when they were little. I loved crocheting, but I have forgotten how to do it now. I should reacquaint myself with it now that I am retired.

OMG I am so jealous that you were able to create that cardigan! It reminds me of the Italian designer Missoni and their sweaters from the 1970's. Your blues with the black have a beachy vibe but also modern. I love it! And thanks for showing us more of Wilfred who is just so adorable and such a goofball. You can tell Wilfred loves textiles! After seeing this cardigan I feel like such a slacker. My projects have fallen through the wayside because of work but in the last two weeks I have been doing a spring cleaning get of clutter purge. I'll take up some of my projects maybe in a few months. One of which was to upholster a hassock but never got around to it one of many sewing projects I have lined up. And let's face it - cats and yarn just go together!
Haha thanks for your sweet comment, as always! Ohhh Wilfred loves messing with anything I’m doing. But he’s a sweet kitty so it’s all good. And don’t feel like a slacker! I know how hard work can be sometimes. I find myself having to push aside some of my other projects as well now because of my busy work schedule so I totally understand! Good for you for getting your spring cleaning done early. I’ll have to get around to it soon as well!

Thank youu as always!! Hunterxhunter is really good!! Imo, characters really make or break an anime and I love all the characters in hxh! I just started the last season so I’m really sad it’ll be over for me soon. Need something new to watch after!
