    As gas prices hit $5.00 a gallon, we saw the Deluxe Dice Game on "The Price Is Right" from an original 1983 broadcast had a brand new car with a 5 figure play, as the first number is given for free, and not any zeros and any numbers higher than six are in the price of the car on four dice in play. And the scoreboard display used stadium display numbers, which shows actual numbers higher or lower than what is on each of these four dice, or the exact number on the nose on each dice in the Dice Game played on The Price Is Right.

  • @jeopardy60611

    I suspect that the “board malfunctions” were just someone hitting the wrong button. Fortunately they corrected it quickly both time. There is actually a third mistake because the second digit of the price is not showing at the end. By the way, I heard somewhere that the car price in this game is fudged to fit all the numbers between 1 and 6. Perhaps they should use 10-sided dice. Such a thing exists as used in Dungeons & Dragons.

    • @my3dviews
      @my3dviews ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That would make it more difficult to win it. With a six sided dice, there is a one in six chance that you get the right number and don't have to guess. With a ten sided dice it is of course only one chance in ten of hitting the right number.
      They don't necessarily have to fudge the price of the car. They can just give away the car with a different game if the numbers aren't all 1 to 6 or pick a car with the right combination of accessories to give it that price.
