- Hey guys, I have upgraded my FTX carnage and put in a 26 tooth pinion. I'm hoping it will hold up without any diff breakages. Although I had some other breakages and had a near miss with a van!. But hey, that's the fun f it all. Enjoy,

Good and informative, many thanks, I had raked my brains about why a 4 wheel drive needs a wheelie bar until I upgraded to brush-less and while off road saw the the front wheels lift up and the power driving all wheels which were the 2 then made the car flip ;)
Thanks mate. Yeah once you upgrade to brushless , more power will kick in and definatly need a wheelie bar. Thanks for watching👍🏼🚗

That shock tower broke in a strange place🤔
yeah it does feel faster, i need to buy a speedometer. plus the way the shocktower broke, would have been when it was sliding upside down on the road. it would have caught on the road surface. 🤔

I have just ordered from Ali the surpass hobby 3650 3500 kv for my carnage 2 and I was wondering what is the best combination for battery and pinion gear with this motor.

That motor will be ok with a 26tooth pinion. The spur gear is standard. I normally run anything from 3300mah battery to a 5000mah battery. That will give you good run time about 20 min, plus depends on how hard you push your car.

You can get motor and esc combos from either eBay, BANGGOOD or aliexpress. Surpass hobby brand are pretty good. I wouldn’t recommend gool rc. They have laggy esc which have a delay in them.

Yes one of my favorite rc cars. It runs really well and haven’t broken any major parts yet. 👍🏼🚗

That bigger pinion certainly woke it up mate, pity you broke it the posts but thats the risk running no body hey
Yeah definitely runs heaps quicker, but yeah spewing about not having the body on!. thats my own fault!
@@angesrcs Least parts are cheap, this ftx chassis looks very similar if not identical to my Himoto Bowie and VRX Cobra

Nice Vid! Do you know if there is any chance to change the spur gear/pinion with 1 mod size. I’m having problems with 3S and 0.6 mod 😕 and 1mod should be more durable...
@@kaninja69 thanks mate, yeah there should be a mod1 pinion and spur to suit. I can’t remember where I saw it, but you can buy them for sure . 👍🏼🚗

Still using the original spur gear. I only upgraded the pinion
