Purdy was doing alright with this Oline, now that we upgraded with the draft, he can do some heavy damage to defenses

Super Bowl after Super Bowl after Super Bowl after Super Bowl and he’s not good? You’re right he’s great. To rated from year one and stats the top in the league.

if he's so good, why is it his won/loss record is night/day when taking into account the number of pass attempts per game?
      10 & 1 when he's UNDER 30 pass attempts per game
      BUT
      4 & 4 when he's OVER 30 pass attempts per game
Matter of fact, going back to 2019 season w/Jimmy G, he too was also 10 & 1 when making less than 30 pass attempts per game, but was slightly better at 5 & 3 when making 30 or more attempts per game!! That season, JimmyG was just about 300+/- yards shy of breaking Jeff Garcia's franchise record for most passing yards in a season! So, just how much better is Brock over JimmyG? Food for thought is all! Just proves that both QB's are 'system qbs' and when asked to pass over 30+ times a game, the chance of winning drops with each pass attempt!

Purdy played well in the Super Bowl it was the o-line, the defense, and oh idk just some guy named PATRICK MAHOMES that cost them the game. Yes, Purdy wasn’t perfect that game. But he played well and could not escape the shenanigans of Kyle Shanahan.

as a 49ers fan i agree. that was THE turning point of the game. if not for that the 49ers would be the SB winner but its in the past and ive moved on. looking forward to the upcoming season

      @rhmayer1 หลายเดือนก่อน

There were actually 4 plays and one injury (Dre) that I counted, that if any ONE of those bad plays or injuries didn't happen then the 49ers would've won.
      1) CMC fumble. That drive was going to the EZ with high momentum until the fumble ended that for-sure scoring drive. This would not be the only example of poor ball security by the 49ers.
      2) Kittle stopped blocking on that fumble before the whistle blew. Kittle had his back to the ball and didn't see the fumble, while his blocked opponent, George Karlaftis, did and ran right around Kittle to dive on the loose ball while Kittle was kidding around. Right after Karlaftis landed on it, the next 2 immediate divers onto the ball were both 49ers. If Kittle had kept blocking until the whistle, then the 49ers would've recovered that fumble and resumed that for-sure scoring drive.
      3) Dre Greenlaw tears his Achilles tendon just walking onto the field. He had that midfield locked down; Chiefs had done nothing in his area. As soon as he left the game Reid and Mahomes licked their lips and targeted Oren Burks 9 times for 9 completions in the mid-field. Also, Mahomes ran it up the middle for a couple conversions to extend scoring drives. None of that happens if Dre is on the field.
      4) Weird muffed punt off Darrell Luter, Jr's heel, then Ray Ray tries to scoop it up on the run instead of just playing it safe and falling on it, and misses the scoop resulting in a Chiefs recovery. Poor ball security strikes again.
      5) RG Jon Feliciano leaves injured, replaced by Spencer Burford. O-line is confused on who should cover who. Chris Jones has a clear, untouched run at Purdy and wrecks the pass that would've been a for-sure TD if Jones would just have at least been chipped for an extra half-second. Aiyuk had left his defender fallen, in the dirt at the LOS with a great twitch move and was ALL ALONE in the EZ, meanwhile JJ was open on the right and CMC faked blocking and was open in the flat on the left - all 3 options were for-sure TD's. Nobody covered the Chiefs' #1 pass rusher - a real head scratcher. Poor 49er communication.
Also, NOT ONE holding penalty on the Chiefs' O-line for all 4 quarters. I think there was 1 holding call on the Chiefs during OT. Ridiculous.
But it's all in the past, and now it's just good to remember these problems just to get fired up for NEXT TIME. Chiefs deserved to win that game. They made fewer mistakes and capitalized well on the 49er mistakes.

That wasn’t Ray Ray’s fault. The ball glanced off the foot of one of his teammates so he had no choice but to try to go for the ball because it had already been touched and put into play. If he just let it go it could have been a Chiefs touchdown. It was good presence of mind and a good effort by him to try to get on top of the ball on a crazy unlucky bounce

@@fishiefish6179 he should have jumped on the ball instead of trying to scoop and run, that's my problem with that play.

😂😂 There will always be haters. Just like Brady, not great measurebles, late draft pick. But has performed when starter hurt. Name a QB that has made it to the playoff in his 1st 2 yrs. Granted the Niners are a good team, talented roster, good defense, good offense coaching/schemes. Brock started as a rookie for injured starter, got to playoff before hurt. O-line is still lowly ranked. Came back from injury, still got to SB. Did Herbert, Allen, Lamar, Lawerence, Prescott, Wilson, Fields, Jones, or others do this in 1st 2 yrs in league. Every great QB has a good team around him on offense n defense. No QB plays defense. No QB plays RB or WR or TE or O-line. No team can have high priced stars at every position. Every yr, veterans are replaced with younger, hopefully better n cheaper players. Salary cap force teams to release some fan favorite players. Teams must rebuild every yr thru trades or draft or UFAs or FAs. Consistency is rare. Injuries can wreck plans for a season. Coaches can have winning records but fail to get to SB. Fired for that failure. Brock is a Brady like story. An Underdog, you think ppl would root for. Brock stepped up to challenge n made the best of his opportunity. Many more gifted, don't. Many aren't as lucky, as injuries derailed their careers. Hopefully, Brock can win an SB. But i doubt this will stop their hate. Don't care doesn't he doesn't have a cannon arm, or ideal size or speed or athletic mobility. He has unbreakable confidence, lightning fast processing under chaos, nerves of steel, a little mobility. He just wins. Came back to beat GB n Detroit. Almost had Chiefs too. JKelly went to SB 4 times, never won. Brock can still write the rest of his story. As long as the Niners team keeps improving. You need a team, n a bit of luck.
