Visiting Berea Tavern was a treat when we visited my grandparents in Lexington. We'd have a stroll and then have lunch. It was a dress-up occasion and my little self would have been happy with a plate full of spoonbread and nothing else! I've made various versions over the years butI'm excited to find the Boone Tavern recipe and am serving it tonight for a special dinner with old friends. If you're in KY, Berea is lovely and worth the trip.
