Hey dale I was one of the kids on the left at the end of manhandler, I’m so happy I got into one of your videos, your an amazing person and an amazing biker. Keep up the great work!
Seeing yout videos made me think how Canada is filled with Double Black and Pro Lines. Vancouver, Squamish, Pemberton, Nelson, Kamloops, Vernon and etc... It means that there also A LOT of extremely skilled riders to mantain and ride all of these trails. When I see your videos, in my mind there would be just a few people able to ride these stunts... but it doesn't seem to be true! 😂
After watching your vid and Nic's earlier today, I have come to the conclusion that you guys are not used to riding those trails w/o a hint of moisture in them! It looks really dry. It's much the same here in the Seattle area. We'll be good with hero dirt until we get about 8-10" (20-25cm) of rain and things finally get saturated.
Great race Dale. Craaaaazy time Lief put up. By the way, was this race before you picked up the Deviate? Or did you just prefer a familiar bike for the race?
@@DaleStone Well, if you ever wonder about your actual impact on viewership, I think it all the time, and it helps. Especially if I've had a get-off or close call and the result is a case of the jitters. I think that at those times, and I can usually get my ju-ju back and ride loose again after focusing on that for a while.
Unfortunatly i'm from california where that level of event would have cost $70-80. Good on you guys and gals for keeping it grassroots and inclusive. In socal I could only dream of those levels of traction.
This is strangest time tracking, it really can affect your time. I mean yeah, everyone has the same thing - but someone might be more lucky to scan in first second.. And what is this scream "iju" when you pass next to someone 😀😀 Is this some Canadian thing? 😄
It's just another race day variable, and for a $5 race, dinner and prize it's very good timing! Shouting "yew" is definitely a bit more complicated to explain. 😂
I run Delium Rugged Reinforced tires on both sides, they're fantastic. Any drifting here is purely condition dependent haha. They also give viewers of this channel a discount with GODALE25. 🙂
@@DaleStone thanks. Sorry if that was a question you get all the time. But thanks for taking the time to answer. Cheers. Gonna check out a set to try out in western North Carolina.
Curious about what Deviate is all about? Me too. DALESTONE50 at bit.ly/IMBYWheels for new bike day (and to help out the channel! 🙂)
No wonder those trails were in such good shape on Friday. Hats off to the volunteers who make it all happen. Nice smooth riding Dale!
lol 2nd place aka 31 seconds behind. You're amazing, so that other guy's unbelievable.

Thanks for the cheering and support, but you have to race next year too!! 😉
oh haha I’m not good enough to race with you guys I’m on a Kona cinder cone lol, but yea keep up the great work!

Your terrain is so friggin magical out there. Love it!
That was an admirable run Dale. GJ.
You really achieved "smooth is fast" in that third stage until the very last few turns when you were tired.
"don't crash in front of everyone, don't crash in front of everyone..."
So smooth Dale! Amazed how fast your rode the uphill section of EB And Down. Great vid. Even a Lee Taylor sighting at the end as well!! 😀
Thanks Steve! And always a pleasure to see Lee on the trails, he's always happy to be out. 🙂
Great racing Dale! almost at 200k subs too!
Pure insanity.
I think you did better this time, because with the added bell ring I think that makes up for the 30 seconds! nice riding!
smooth like butter! Quiet bike and can barely hear you breathing. nice!
This is so sick!!!!
Slow is smooth, smooth is fast💨
Watching this because I cant bike because I broke my wrist on mount seymour, gotta love the north shore. Great job!
Heal up!
@@DaleStone Yep! Apparently Ill be back to biking in like 2 weeks!!! not gonna do that particular A frame again though lol
Sick racing dude 👌
I was red lined on stage 3. Congrats on the placement!
Thanks Leo! If you weren't redlined then you weren't going hard enough there, haha.
@@DaleStone I was giving it my all, walking might have been faster 🤔
🧠📈
Epik awesome video and trail lovet
Oh no, did the Berd wheel come to an unfortunate end with your derailleur??
Nice. I could see myself kissing a lot of trees at that pace. Haha. Someday I’m going to come ride those tracks.

Haha, accurate. The funny part is that I used to only ride exclusively in dry conditions growing up! 🙈
Gotta work out a dig day on the dentist this fall, could always use more hands
ااه كم اعشق هاذه الرياضه😍
أنا أيضاً!
My god there’s no down ramp, it’s great. 😅.
Silly question, what bell are you using? 😅
There was a down ramp last time I rode the trail! 🙈
It's a spurcycle compact.
@@DaleStone last time how long ago? 😅. Planning going back in May next year. I hope I can ride with you guys one day. 😅
The sound and video quality is insane ! What camera are you using ? Always enjoying your vids man
Great race Dale. Craaaaazy time Lief put up. By the way, was this race before you picked up the Deviate? Or did you just prefer a familiar bike for the race?
This was before. The Deviate is a loaner from IMBY for testing purposes! ...for now... 😉
You sounds like young Aston Kutcher 😁
I'll take it.
Ripping!
Loaned you a rear wheel? She's a keeper :)
So close to to 200K!! (Passed up DD - good job!) What happened to "Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast." ?
It's definitely still my mentality, just said in my head this time! 🧠

I'm just here for the heavy breathing.
It's like reverse ASMR for maximum uncomfortability.
Dale what was that last short trail you were on after the race?
It always amazes me how much people brake in turns
It amazes me that you weren't at the race! 😉
What were they using to time the stages?
The RFID tags on your wrist that you tap in and out.
that timing system seems a bit janky
For a $5 race AND dinner AND prizes (for almost everyone), it's incredibly awesome. 🙂

@@DaleStone Thanks for reply. Aha, then its awesome timing 😂 Maybe you can talk about "yew" during some of next rides haha :D
No, it's not a Canadian thing... "YEW" is just an MTB call for excitement lol..
These gadgets used to time the race are very innacurate. It can definetely make a difference in the end!
The timing system is actually extremely accurate, and everyone has the same challenge.
What size/kind of tyres you running dale f & r ? They look like they are hooking up. Drift a bit then bite hard
