I main both Ike and Roy. Ike is better, period. If Roy has true combos into kills, Ike probably has twice as many, plus more effective range. But, I enjoy playing Roy more than Ike. Where Ike struggles killing campy characters, Roy is fast enough to chase them

There is much more than recovery in smash and Chrom has an awesome neutral, sure he is bad in a disadvantage state but the point of his character is dominate neutral, that is why Cloud is Smash Ultimate isn't as awesome as Smash4 (look now his Up B and neutral air). Chrom is better at neutral because he can space his attacks and give decent damage but Roy can't (the opposite happens with Marth and Lucina, Marth loses to Lucina because he is forced to use the tip of the sword).

Tips from a Roy main: we like to recover low usually, try to exploit that Spacing will obviously be a massive help since he’s got sour spot Don’t have the best landing options so you can exploit that too

Y'all realize you can't full hop out of AC? The way the tech works, it's impossible to do a full hop bair unless you RAR. That is much harder than simply performing an attack cancel, but Tweek consistently got full hop RAR bairs out of jab.
This was a hype set, until the Roy showed up. Press A the character. I enjoy watching Snake and Olimar more than I do Chrom and Roy. Still not as snooze worthy as Wolf and Inkling though. I just wish they weren't so overbalanced, I might make it to the end of the set if they get a rework and stop the lightning fast tilts killing at mid percents.
