There's an easy mod to stop this type of stand from being unstable ... R&G ought to weld 2 pieces of small bore tube to the left side frame that sits on the floor to enable a stability rod to be inserted... alternatively you can drill a 11mm hole into the stand tube between the wheels, large enough to accept a 10mm steel rod, 12"inch long (minimum) longer is better, slide in the rod, leaving at least 6-8"inch protruding, I suggest fitting a stopper on the rod to stop it being fully inserted into the stand tube ... Install the rod when the bike is up in the air, no way can the stand be rocked over then ... Agreed, this stand could be fabricated better from a stability point of view, not enough over centre for stability ... what R&G need to make apparent is " lock the front brake lever with a velcro strap prior to installing the stand, now way then can the bike be knocked off the stand ... stay safe peeps.
The big issue I had with mine was the tightness of the spindle in the hub. I had to spend ages sanding it down so it slides smoothly. Definitely ordered the correct one, unless they sent the wrong one.
Well done video. Rather than a brick at the front wheel, might you just get a couple rubber door stoppers to jam under the front of the paddock stand wheels? It's disappointing to me that there is so much fuss about getting many Triumphs up for chain and rear wheel maintenance. No bobbin mounts at all. If you're going to put a chain on a bike, I seems odd to make the chain so hard to service. Unless, of course, you're in the business of selling expensive center stands....
Yes I do but it’s not one that goes into bobbins or locates into the forks - it locates into the steering stem so that I can remove the front wheel -works very well. I bought it from Spirtsbikeshp . . Biketek front head stand. Clearance is just a little tight and so I remove the front fender before using it but great for working on front wheel/tyre changes or brake work!!👍
👍 I haven’t tried any others and so really can’t comment. I wonder if perhaps Triumph make one. If I had my time again, I most likely wouldn’t buy the R&G as the bike is too unstable on it but it really isn’t an issue if you know. It would be better if the problems mentioned were addressed in its design.
Would have been better to see a different angle of video looking directly adjacent to the pin I can see the issue and I wouldnt go near that stand if it was free

Likely to have been the wrong one. Mine was a very easy sliding fit, as it should be 👍

Hi, do you have a front paddock stand? I have a tiger sport 1050 2017 model and I struggle to find a front stand for it. Cheers

Hello "2ybliga". Thanks for sharing, that was very helpful to know. Do you recommend any other stand than the R&G? Thanks in advance. Kind regards.

Thanks for the info very helpful!

Thanks, won't be buying that one then!! My uneven paved car park would of made the problem even worse.
