I'm in such a amazement and give comfort of pride to all of the families who lost someone that day and every parent that raised children up over the years are incredible to me. You've all done such wonderful jobs with your children. Amen
In retrospect we can say that telling them to stay was a poor decision. But honestly at the time that they made the call they didn't know it was an attack. Assuming that it was just one plane accident in the other tower it would be far better to keep people safe in the untouched tower rather than streaming out onto the street below right in the path of a collapsing building.
I think it is because they believed tower 2 was safe and they didn’t know it was a plane that hit tower 1, and evacuating tower 2 might’ve slowed down the evacuation of tower 1. I didn’t put much thought into that because they literally had seconds to decide what to do and they didn’t have time to put lots of thought into evacuation. I’m not saying that they were right in saying to not leave tower 2 but I’m saying at the time it seemed like the best option
Its only mind boggling now because of all of the actions that took place. But you have to remember at the time, There was no way for anyone to predict a bunch of planes were going to fly into buildings, at the time they thought it was just an accident in the first tower
No. It's not. That's at least the second time I see an interview about people from the second tower . This one died, the other one survived. In both cases they had their relative on the phone after the first tower was hit and in both cases their relatives told them to immediately get out of the building (while it had not been hit yet). In both cases the people inside were reluctant because they were told by the PA system not to leave the building. The common sense is obviously to leave the building. Then or now. It is the same. The PA messages were ridiculous and criminal. @@YoungMannie92
I worked at a middle school. I remember that moment when all of this happened. I walked up to my friend and just burst into tears. She grabbed ahold of me and hugged me. She was like the mom figure at work. A lot of parents picked up their kids and we were let go for the day. I became obsessed with the news just praying they would pull more people alive out of the rubble. Each and every person that lost someone was in my prayers and they still are to this day.
I'm watching this video from South Africa. I would like to thank Kimmy and Zoe for choosing our country in building schools in memory of their loving husband/father, Frank Doyle. Their story has shaken me to the core. I'm so glad that they have photos and videos to remember him with. May God bless you all Doyle family.❤
It is impossible to express the sorrow I feel for this fine lady and her children . The enormity of the sorrow I feel for all those who perished and all the families suffering such devastating and cruel loss. RIP forevermore , never to be forgotten .
As soon as she said her girlfriend said "Frank's tower just got hit" and from there I started crying... This is always a tragedy and we all move forward day by day day not affected and not even phased. God bless this family and all others directly impacted...
It's amazing how so many of the families dont sound angry that their loved ones were so selfishly and visciously taken from them. They talk about them and that day with such eloquence and wisdom. There was one man that talked about his wife whose body was found in front of the building a ways away from the towers. He knew she had clearly jumped from, I think, the 87th floor? Maybe higher. She had called and told him how hot it was and how hard to breathe it was. And he said "to be out of the heat and the smoke. It must've felt like flying." I thought that was such a wise and deeply profound way to think of it.

It happened on December 15. I hadn't heard from him for a week before the tragedy happened. I lived in Milan then and my family lived here in Pompeii. But we were blessed from his body's recovery the day after. He was 77 years old and I can't stop believing that whether it happened on summer, he would have saved himself. He was an amazing swimmer. The resilience shown by these two is simply amazing. They have responded in the best possible way to such an unfathomably tragic event.
Omg this is so sad, but his wife has done an amazing job raising those children, RIP Frank 🙏😊
Godspeed Frank. You were a strong, brave man. And we will not forget you, and so many others. RIP Sir.
I just got so emotional hearing this story 20 yrs later!
I cannot imagine the pain she went through and still goes through everyday, I cried just from hearing her talk about the last phone call between her and her husband 😢
This brought tears to my eyes. What a wonderful way to remember their father and to help the world around them. Beautiful family. The videos of Frank show a man who loved his kids and family, you can see how proud of his kids he is. Thank you for sharing.
I'm in such a amazement and give comfort of pride to all of the families who lost someone that day and every parent that raised children up over the years are incredible to me. You've all done such wonderful jobs with your children. Amen

Frank Doyle sounds like a great guy and God Bless the family
I know noone knew how things would end up but i really hate they were told to stay in place when they could of been evacuating 😢
I agree. :( i guess they just had no idea that the building would collapse. Absolute shock to everyone.
I agree this is heartbreaking that some listened and stayed in the office.
@@latoyah52 For true, sadly those that advised them to stay figured it would be safer.
@@Inciliusnebulifer Agreed! Never in a million years would they've fathomed a plane hitting/taking out the 1st tower let alone the 2nd.:(
Words can’t describe the heartbreak. RIP to all the victims 🕊️.
How those in charge of tower 2 didn’t call for an immediate evacuation is mind boggling

God Bless you, daughter, and son Endlessly for all you have done and is still doing with and for your family and keeping Frank's legacy alive.
Awesome way to memorialize a family member, helping others in their name.
Excellent interviewer. He really showed a lot of empathy and compassion. The daughter is for sure making her dad proud.
I couldn't imagine having to call my loved ones and calmly say goodbye without freaking out. The courage and calmness it took.
It had to be hard but what a brave family here. God bless and keep you ♥️
I'm watching this video from South Africa.
7:23 as a dad. I fully believe that Frank is so proud of his children and his wife. What a family, and what a legacy this man has left on earth. ❤❤
That was a sensitive interview that shone the focus on Frank and his family in an honorable way. Great journalism!❤❤❤
Many, many hearts break for you and your children, and also rejoice with you for how you have successfully honored your husband and his memory.
Heartbreaking and a reminder about how horrible that day was for so many. This is an incredible Mom story too. And great job Zoe.
Thank You for sharing ...
My Heart goes out to You and The Children.
Its the most Important Thing You have done , Telling His Children They Are Loved . And seeing how involved he was ....
Is The Greatest Blessing .
🥀
My heart hurts so much for them and for all those who lost their loved ones.
What an amazing wife and mom❣️
I am So Sorry!!! Thank you Both for sharing these very difficult Memories! And Thank you for the ways you are keeping Frank’s Memory alive and doing for others! Rest In Peace Frank!
Those poor children...May their father's memory always be a blessing...
So sad they didn’t evacuate those people after the first tower was hit.
Who knew there was a second plane?
Kimmy you and your kids are amazing. So brave. You were so lucky to hear Frank's voice for the last time. My father died 10 years ago in a shipwreck here in Italy and I wasn't that lucky. I know what you feel, how you feel. I'm 50 now and I miss him every single day.
I’m sorry 🤍
My prayers are with you and your family.
@@KLC_xoxo ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

My ❤ goes out to this family. Her re-telling of Frank's last phonecalls to her gave me chills. Their daughter (Zoe) is so poised and articulate - it was touching to hear from her as well.
Heart wrenching. I lived in NJ at the time. I'll never forget.
My heart and soul goes out to all lost and their families.
The reporter sounded like he was crying
I would be
I was 10 when this happened and lost my father almost a year to the day before this tragedy. It was difficult to understand what had happened back then but every year it sinks in deeper and deeper. I still cry when I see the towers fall and every story from survivors or families of victims makes my heart cry out for them.
Both women spoke so well. So painful. I was also touched by the gentleness and respect of the interviewer, it seemed unusual, in a good way
Beautiful interview for us all to understand your family. Thank you
Zoe is the image of her dad.He lives on in her ❤❤ & is, & always was so proud of his children 😢
As a dad myself, this is beyond heartbreak.
God bless you all, your whole family and what a great wife/mother you are. You’ve done awesome keeping Frank’s memory alive and are helping so many children with the schools. YOU are amazing, your children too, no doubt Frank is so very proud of you all. I’m so sorry for your loss 💕
This is so heartbreaking, I'm crying my eyes out to hear these horrific losses for all these families. I am so sad over this great loss to our country and all the American families that have suffered the ultimate loss.
What a wonderful and amazing woman and mom. The strength and goodwill that fills her heart is a testimony to humanity.
Beautiful interview, the best!
This is so devastating, hearing this story. I am so sorry. I am heartbroken ❤️🇺🇸. We will never forget.
From the bottom of my heart, I’m so sorry for your loss. 💔
What a lovely family. And a great friend who came straight to her that day.
WHAT A STRONG WOMAN. I am weeping.
it's really nice to know that many of his lifetime friends take time to tell the children about their dad and help them get to know him in spirit
So inspirational, and so beautiful to hear this testimony of love, just so wonderful to see how you overcame your pain and loss, and positive way you kept Franks memory alive💜
That was a wonderful interview, thank you. Sensitive questioning. Beautiful mom and daughter - so eloquent and doing hubby/dad proud.
He looked like an amazing man.
Rest In Peace. 🙏🏼💙
