Note: If you're unable to delete the Folder and your PC says App is running in another program. Try removing it from background apps/startup apps/processes.
You can try reinstalling after uninstalling by AMD Cleanup Utility also.

Just a reboot will work too if app is not a startup app.

2nd step if its not deleting you don't have to delete it just go in task manager and end the task then go to your minimize section then re open again

Did not work for me
Doesn't work. It seems to open minimized. Tried manually ending tasks and deleting the CN file. Then tried again. AMD control panel partially opens but you can't see the interface or maximize it.
Sometimes it keeps running in background processes in Task Manager, try removing it from there first and then remove it from background apps and startup apps if it's there. After all this reboot your pc and retry the process. This may help.

It's just like deleting cache. It reappears but will solve your problem.
the only thing in my amd file is dx_cache :/ idk if u can help but every time i try to install AMD RADEON Software the installer downloads it when its done nothing happens

The problem is created by some file that remembers the older version of amd software and create conflict with amd setting software( tweaking software) and the actual gpu drivers by deleting cn you probably delete some reg files and uploading amd settings again reg files probably being created from the start with the right amd setting and drivers software

not working for me - i delete the CN folder, then launch it - but it wont launch, and it just recreates the CN folder i just deleted
Yes that cn folder will recreate, but app should've opened after deleting it. Just make sure it's not running in the background or it's not listed in background apps. If nothing works, you'll have to do a clean reinstall. You can use Amd Cleanup Utility for this.

Hi Mahendra Kumar,
End the task from task bar or restart your pc and then try again. If the problem still persists then disable software from Task Manager>startup.

If you don't want to try and test different solutions, you should do a clean reinstall.
I dont know if you fixed it or not but that happened to me to, the only thing i did was to install the "ccc2" application on the AMD folder. If you cant find it just search it up on your File Manager in the location where your AMD is located

Bro my intel hd 620 graphic is not opening when i click and then just loading and automatically off and also my amd Radeon r5m420 after updating software its now showing amd Radeon HD 8500m what to do now
Man, Ive seen plenty of videos od 10 minutes, and you are the only one that solved it in 52 seconds, you are a god.
I don't think that AMD is actually working on fixing this.
However I believe I have found something (at least something that works for me).
As always, I am not responsible for what you do, and if following my guide makes your computer explode, it's not my fault.
I am asking some of you who are affected by this bug and ever had Epic Games Launcher installed to try this:
Exit Epic Games Launcher if you have it open (right click it in the notification tray and click Exit)
Open the folder %localappdata%\EpicGamesLauncher\Saved
Rename the Logs folder to something like LogsBackup
Try to open Radeon Software and hope it works
Please respond if it fixed your issue or not, or if you don't even have the EpicGamesLauncher folder.
If I find out it doesn't actually work and it was just a coincidence, I will edit this post to correct it.

If you're PC says App is running in another program. Try removing it from background apps/startup apps/processes.
Once deleted it'll reappear but your problem will be fixed.

I did this and a full uninstall but it still won't open. Now the app keeps apearing in my tray, every time I click it the icon goes away and nothing happends, a few seconds later the icon reapears.
Sometimes it happens when the software actual version is not same in registery. If it's not same, try changing it from here "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/AMD/CN" by editing the registry.

At first it did not work but after some looking I found you have to close amds host application before deleting the CN folder
Есть у кого решение проблемы когда ставишь амд драйвер, его тупо удаляет антивирусник либо другое чтото, все антивирусные проги я выключил, изоляцию ядра пробывал и тд. все выключил, но всеравно чтото удаляет драйвер

Check if it's running in the background or not. Sometimes it just keeps running in the background but doesn't open. If it's there, you can try removing it from there and reopen it.
