True lol it happens to me one time and I laughed I thought there is no ruppes in the great plateau not at old man rocks but near the red bokos near the great plateau!
Honestly, my first thought with BoTW was to gtfo the plateu as fast as possible then find and shoot a Blupee, since they always drop rupees (Blupees also drop rupees in ToTK), though watching your trial by rock was fun.
there is a problem... a good chunk of zelda games dont have a master sword D: some of them have the four sword, and the first game just has the "white sword" but it looks the part so you could pretend
13:28 in totk in the elden region, there is a cave from the great bandit misko. there should be two poeple outside of it that you need to talk to first and there are like 30 chests all with a singular green rupee in it
Side note about the Oracle games. You start with the sword immediately in either Ages or Seasons after completing the other game and linking the two together. So no matter which game you start with you're always going to have to find the sword

Kiki, you actually have to give 110 Rupees (10 for him to follow you, 100 to open the dungeon) As for first Zelda, you can get a Rupee without killing. Carefully make your way to the upper right corner and you’ll get 100 from the Moblin.
you can get rubies (including green ones) by putting a iron crate into the max height and dropping it, it was pain watching him grab it and not dropping it at a higher point ;-;
I like that you included a couple of side games, but it's a little strange that you didn't show Four Swords. It's a main series Zelda game. So is Four Swords Adventures, not sure why you said that one wasn't.
Awesome vid BTW the only green rupee i've found in ToTK is when you rebuild the coastal town and enter the gambling shop one of the three chests contains a green rupee. 👍👍
Hyrule warriors legends is the only version I played, but now that the 3ds shop closed down and I forgot to buy the dlc I might get the definitive edition one of these days...

i’m not sure if it’s consistently faster, but in Link’s Awakening for Switch you can actually get a green rupee from Ukiki (the coconut throwing monkey) before you even get your sword. just walk right on the beach
3:00 actually they do Exist but in the Color Dungeon but the only thing they did was Swap the Values with the Blue Rupee so a Green one is 5 and a Blue one is 1
Lack of heart and rupee drops took me a while to understand when I first played BotW, every classic Zelda overwhelms you with both and rupees are rarely necessary. I slowly started leaning on food and trading and eventually got used to that. I was at least a dozen hours in before I found my first wild rupee under a rock, having been totally convinced they just never spawn in the world up to that point. They are definitely more common in TotK, as are the Blupees. I only remember the one outside Cotera's fountain before, but have found at least half a dozen randomly now.
So im not exactly 100% certain on this so take it with a grain of salt. so depending on if your counting actual in game time played or real time Oot's rupee might be able to be gotten faster. if you watch the intro cutscene and actually just save and quit then reload there is now a pot in links house. and if i recall correctly that pot contains 1 green rupee
Link's Awakening DX actually does have Green Rupees, they're in a hidden room inside the color dungeon where instead of being worth 1 like usual, I think they made them worth 5
