There’s little decent reviews of the upper end stuff, especially from non associated reviewers. Yours are great! Tracked it down on head-fi Storm next please😁
There's 1 and only 1 reason I haven't reviewed storm... Because it's almost impossible to review it without sounding like an absolute shill 😭 Soon though... I will make it work.
@@kajetan9550 I do use Bliss. I've tried 1266 TC literally two days ago actually, my honest opinion is it is terrible and overpriced 😂 Finally completed my headphone rounds in the sense of having tried almost everything on the market.
@@its_yifang I’ve had everything on hand and honestly nothing comes remotely close. Susvara extremely meh, now I also have utopia 2022 and it’s just sitting in a box for weeks. 1266 is very punishing of the setup. Tried it on wa33 last week and it was very unnatural in the mids. I use a custom made gsx mini, afraid to change considering how strange they can get. So far it’s just a big full extremely detailed experience. Mostly listen to vocal and instrumental stuff, and it’s just puts tears in the eyes with goosebumps
@@kajetan9550 I don't like susvara either but I can recognise it's excellency, utopia is trash, and I genuinely think 1266 tc is trash too tbh. I also do compare things with an without EQ, but ultimately with EQ is what I put more value on as I'd rather just not use any headphones if I couldn't EQ, so you could also take that opinion with a grain of salt. 1266 TC is really don't like in either way though...
I don't even know where to start answering this question tbh because there's so many points to cover! Join the Discord and we can all discuss this. The short answer points I can give are as follows for competitive gaming : 1. IEMs are used at LAN tournaments which I used to regularly attend, so therefore I can maintain consistency at home. 2. Good high end headphones are often TOO GOOD for competitive gaming where the game audio engine itself sucks and can't keep up. Think about if you had a full surround sound cinema to play games in, that would be the best sound technically speaking but still would suck for competitive gaming right? 3. Most high end headphones are open back too, and I prefer not hearing myself talking when playing. 4. Stock tuning in headphones, especially closed back or low end headphones are far worse than IEMs, while also being worse in all technical aspects except soundstage. Soundstage alone, while being important, doesn't dictate performance. In terms of for music : 1. IEMs are portable compared to headphones. 2. IEMs should have superior stock tuning to headphones and therefore don't require EQ. This ties again into portability as you'd need to be at a desk setup to have good EQ options.

Why not using normal headphones any advantages with buds
