    even without the hurricanes, power goes down all the times: light rains, lightning, heat, cold, ... Centerpoint must go away; please bring in a more efficient company

    Did anyone know why fema isn't helping anyone in Waller county?
    We have a lot of damage on us houses, lost all us groceries, we try to apply for disaster relief but waller county isn't on the list.

      Because you can file a claim with CenterPoint for lost groceries?

    • @rubensalais1502
      @rubensalais1502 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @DarkBadger999 is that right?
      What about the roof of my house and all the damage, no help from Fema?
      My insurance has not contacted me yet ,
      We filed the claim on Tuesday, and we still haven't heard from the adjuster.

      @rubensalais1502 Idk what to do about the damage to your home. Bit the food you should be able to file a claim with whatever power company failed you. I hope things get better for you soon. 🙏

    Distribution post behind my parents home had a crack and was leaning for decades! Was reported numerous times and nothing was done about it. Through all the hurricanes and storms we prayed it wouldn’t fall. Beryl finally knocked it down, luckily it didn’t land on the house. Centerpoint has ignored issues for years since we hadn’t had major storms, but now their lack of service is exposing their poor maintenance culture, lack of leadership, and ability to handle major impacts to the network. Category 1 storm…smh

    1 tree trimming in 8 years, this is the liability and reason why Houston was devastated by a Cat 1 storm. Anyone affected by this needs to contact an Attorney and file suit...

    After 2 months w/o power after cat5 Hugo in 89, I said never again. I paid a hospital clinic $500 for their old 33 KVA diesel genset and another $1500 transport and install here. I'm out of power 6 seconds until it transfers now. There's 250 gallons of #2 home heating fuel online. No begging for fuel.

    Why is no one talking about ERCOT they are responsible why is the media making everyone look at centerpoint centerpoint listens to ERCOT

    • @DarkBadger999
      @DarkBadger999 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Actually CenterPoint is overstepping and trying to overstep and take some of Ercots responsibilities. I'm sure it's so they can get away with more shady bs. There's a court case ongoing.

  • @BarrierIsland

    Before the storm hit that predicted, I suggested they concentrate on Galveston and Houston due to population density. The real fault here is in them not doing tree trimming, for years which caused massive unnecessary power outages...

  • @DarkBadger999
    @DarkBadger999 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Their spokesperson is as shady as their attorneys. Never a straight answer. Just dance around them. Also the PUC is a waste of space and do nothing to look out gor the people CenterPoint has failed.

    stop complaining and take the matter into your own hands, have a generator, have extra food, have other means for the internet, and do what you got to do. I have been without power for a whole month during one of the hurricanes in the past and have been without power for a whole week during TX big freeze. no complaints, have my generator always ready prior to and have my food and my mobile internet box that I can use anywhere. Have a PLAN you're not 4yrs olds. YOU"RE ADULTS

      I was out of power for 2 weeks during Hurricane Ike, and we practically lived in a little sauna shack for 2 weeks. We couldn't afford a generator and weren't anticipating the extended outage, yet there are more vulnerable people than you and me. Yes folks should be prepared, but that isn't really the problem here. Houston facilities are failing over and over again.
