  • A dog separated from his owner last summer as a wildfire forced evacuations in the Sierra was found after a backcountry skier spotted the animal in deep snow last month, prompting an intense rescue operation. Russ, a pit bull-terrier mix, ran away from his owner’s vehicle in August as the Caldor Fire roared toward South Lake Tahoe, according to a Facebook post by Tahoe PAWS and TLC 4 Furry Friends, the nonprofit organization that assisted with the dog’s rescue in late December.

I had to look up this video after reading about it. Such an amazing story. His whole adventure could be a movie complete with a happy ending.

What a wonderful story. I absolutely am a animal lover and I'm always buying food for the skinny homeless dogs run trying to find their family and looking for something to eat for they're empty tummy's. I'm glad he doesn't have Togo hungry and suffer alone in the cold. It's so terribly cold for humans let alone a doggy in the freezing wet snow. How terrible he mustve felt.

Okay my news is saying the dog was under 1.5 meters of snow for 4 months. I'm sick of the news constantly changing stories . Then I see a picture of the dog looks like it's been eating and healthy somehow ? Get it this is amazing. But the headline here in ontario Canada is dog is burried under 1.5 m of snow for 4 months. Clearly isn't the case. Just image what the news is doing for covid....
