It's reasonably relevant in that there were not many changes. But if some had a better setup I'd go with it. I do plan to update once I get my 122 SK to 125. It'll be similar to the beta setup as that's My standard approach to SK play. I am sure there is a more recent post beta guide up.

"I drain thru mana on this character" Man, I tell ya, the Ranger really struggles on mana. That wee little fight would tap a ranger out (if it's not headshotting). That was always my big struggle, actually using my mana when I first started playing him, but when I did use it, boy did DPS just explode. People would still yell at me if I wasnt spam casting on headshot mobs... "calm down bud, I'm still clocking 2 million dps! Another 300k aint gonna matter." My SK never did nothing more than be an autoattack DPS toon TBH. Got the mage for tanking. Even afk autoattack was over half a mill and would top PUG parses. The weapon stances are a bit too good IMO. SK OP!
SKs rule the group game and traditionally if well geared can solo just about every mission. My necro can do more damage but the SK can do harder stuff.
@@Twelvestrings I havent really mained my SK since PoP and LDoN, so am no where near comfortable enough with it to solo stuff these days. Way too rusty. He generally has just been my puller and afk dps since then, leeching XP. I did get him near fully T1 raid geared in that Luclin revisit xpac we just had (remind me it's name!) from the rot loots when raiding the ranger. He was looking mighty sexy! I imagine he'd hold up still in current stuff, as the T1 stuff you showed was even lower stats than what he has now. So I imagine the latest t2 group gear would be it's match.
As a ranger you really have to throttle your mana pop your called shots and focused and wait till they pop back up once mobs almost dead spam summers if your using summers constantly spamming it it's a guarentee if your not throttling your mana your gonna oom quick - Anjelicaz of Cazic thule (Return of the Exiled)

That barely uses any mana (and wont rip agro, if the tank sux). Enjoyin the new xpac, got my t3 bow made and bagged (got a string drop on first day) and about to hit 124. Slackin on the partisan quests, as I hate doing partisan quests, but kill xp is good.
He has it. You get it for free on the beta buffed toon. I have it in my melee burn hot key. But I'll make it a separate hot key. That's how I used to do it. Still perfecting this set up .
I hope you use regroup with your pet back off key because back itself is working sometimes and not working next time youtry while regroup always works.

Ermm... dont you guys keep /pet hold always on? Never had /pet back fail with /pet hold on. But maybe because I'm an old timer and got used to the spam clicking and the paying attention required to get your pet to back off during release thru velious era. /pet hold was added in Luclin, right? Man that was sooo long ago.
I have it on unless I turn it off. Actually my back off key was /pet feign and then the AA summon companion. I never used back off much on my necro. But still it's a good point about the /pet back v /pet regroup command. I always put my merc on passive and my pet on hold when I'm pulling.
It's the standard EQ interface. But I use the /viewport command to move the UI elements off the game screen and I resize my hot bars and add texture and color which you can do by right mouse clicking. Basically there is nothing non standard except I do use a log parser. I have some videos showing how I do this.

Which UI is it that you are using?
