For me, it's not so much the fact he played at the highest level into his 40's, but the fact he played football of all sports that long at a brutal position in which your not only physically, but mentally taxed as well. No disrespect to the NBA or b-ballers but he did far more than run up & down a court in an attempt to put a sphere shaped ball through a hoop. Seven rings. SEVEN!! earning the last while over 40 years of age & with a new team, coaches, coordinators & in an unfamiliar place. Him being such late draft pick is just icing on the cake. Had this man never existed & someone had written/produced a Hollywood movie script based on Tom's life it'd have been ridiculed beyond belief & labeled ridiculously unrealistic. Great video I loved this & have watched it 3 or 5 times now.
This might be the least knowledgeable comment of all-time. When a person jumps 50 times a game and has a 40 inch vertical it is far more physically taxing than throwing a football 30 times for 20 weeks. NBA players play 82 game seasons. They play in back to back games. That destroys knees, ankles, toes and your back and hips. QB is not a brutal position whatsoever.
That was a very good welcome back.
