That Metal Gear Solid Vol 1. has given me hope of MGS4 being playable on modern consoles at some point
I hope twin snakes also gets a re release. I wonder what else the other volume/volumes could have. It's pretty risky (but generous of them) to put everyone's favorites in the first collection and not space them out.

Zelda is part of my heart and soul and the final trailer for Tears made me want to cry a little out of being so _indescribably_ excited. It's a wonderful thing to see in other people and I love seeing others that overjoyed about pretty much anything. It's contagious! 😄

Yeah phantom pain was a dope game, the freedom of mechanics was second to none. The fan boy in me still wants an expanded story of venom snake, but I understand it was kojima’s way of filling all the blank spaces of the overall story and saying goodbye to the series.

I was on the verge of tears I was so happy seeing this. I knew something was off because it looked like the same bird Hal and The End have.
This was the highlight of the entire showcase for me, next to Spiderman 2 and FFXVI.
Also looking at the master collection it says "VOL 1", so does that mean that we'll be getting MGS4 and Peace Walker on PS5 at long last?!

I'm so happy. Not only for Metal Gear Solid Delta but the Collection. Playing MGS on PS Vita is fine and portable, but finally being able to play it on the PS5 is just something else. I hope it'll support 4K resolution, that'd be so awesome.

I can understand a remake like FF7 because the original's visuals just don't hold up... but overall I find remakes to be very redundant. Instead of creating a brand new experience, the devs create something we've already experienced. I think it's a waste of time and resources. It's like gamers these days get more excited for remakes than new games which is just really sad. You can't tell me TLOU was justified in getting a remake, RE4, heck even Snake Eater still holds up very well to this day. And no matter how good this remake will be, it won't be better than the original. The originals are classics for a reason. Imagine Hollywood remaking classics like The Matrix, Space Odyssey, Godfather etc... It's pointless imho. This remake frenzy is getting out of hand and beginning to ruin the industry imho

When I hear the gunshots while the bird was flying, I knew it was MSG3, probably should've known right before that with the familiar looking fence, but seeing those tree branches laid out in the swamp confirmed it for me. What a reveal.
Someone I saw while I scrolled through comments mentioned you can actually see the Shagohod being transported for a brief moment while the bird flies too. I think somewhere around 40 seconds

This has to be a fan animation there is no way this is the pride and joy the nexus that started my journey to play and complete every MGS game and appreciate its written and unwritten stories with its great cast of characters etc

Perhaps it's too much to hope for but I'm hoping that there's a few lore additions that bring the story closer in line with information we get in later games like Peace Walker and Phantom Pain (Like XOF and such, even if it's just a line or two).
An Easter egg of skull face cleaning up your mess as you progress through the story would be nice
Skull Face is shown in Mgs 3 (i think), in one of paramedic's profiles. I'm sure they could pepper in all sorts of new details referencing the later games.

The thing that i was the happiest about in this trailer, is the master collections name. Its called Master collection "volume 1" and it already has mgs1,2 and 3 meaning volume 2 will have mgs4, the first and only port of mgs4 outside of the original ps3 version, imagine that game with 4k resolution, proper high quality textures and 60fps.

I first played MGS in 1999, and MGS2 early 2002 (joined the army) and come home to play MGS3 which was my favorite. I'm now almost 39 and I'm so emotionally excited for this right now. Can't wait.

Part of me is extremely excited (MGS3 is in my top 3 favorite games of all time) but the rest is...very concerned. It's made by Konami, which haven't released any major videogames in what, almost 10 years? And of course with no Kojima direction (though if he was up to him, he'd probably be against remaking MGS anyway)
I guess if they stick very closely to the original, it could work out? Apparently the old voice cast is also returning, which means David Hayter back as Big Boss. Though it's not clear if they're rerecording the dialogue or simply reusing the old one. The latter would kinda confirm that this is more like a remaster than a full-on remake
Why? They can do all the cutscenes and such with the voices as was and then just remake the levels and gameplay inbetween. Its not a stretch that with maybe 2-3 returning for extra lines and the rest is just reused.
@@mikev8746 I mean it's possible, but it seems unlikely - I doubt they would go through the effort of doing a full on reimagining of MGS3 just to end up recycling the audio. Especially when the original cast is still around and working, as far as I know.
That said the screenshots we've seen so far look like a 1:1 recreation of the original, so it seems it will be closer to a remaster than a remake (at least when compared to something like Resident Evil 4 for example)
Still, it's super early to tell. Personally I'd rather they sticked as closely as possible to the original. We've seen what Konami is capable of without Kojima's direction (MGS Survive) and I doubt anyone wants a repeat of that
@@anti-macro What entails a remaster is original assets and animations though. They mentioned seamless etc. I'm pretty sure that means the action set pieces will be added and flow into gameplay etc. Just map layout and pacing etc will remains the same. Its certainly a remake, I'm not sure how you can doubt it. They even state it. If Metriod Prime 1 is about as remaster as something is allowed to be called given the extensive work on that, then this def is more than that and thus a remake.
So yeah I think more 1:1 layout compared to RE4R (can you blame them? it's honestly also what people prefer). But the action set pieces probably will be more fluid, maybe they add small bits of flair etc. Also expect animations to be different etc. It's clearly not the same engine or assets. So as a remake entails that means it's all from the ground up remade. Things like camera position, animation etc. You will still go through the same mission structure. But everything will play and look different/better. Things that were cutscenes before might be done ingame or by the player and so forth. Things will seamlessly flow into one another. But nothing new added. No new locations or story beats. And yeah thank god for that lol.
@@mikev8746 I guess it really boils down to what people define as a remaster vs remake nowadays - lots of games like RE2, RE3, RE4, FF7, etc. have been touted as remakes while also being extremely different from the originals, so the meaning has been muddled a bit in recent years
But yeah, I think the best way to define it is probably that MGS3 looks like a recreation rather than a reinterpretation
@@anti-macro Oh yeah for sure I think the meaning has become blurred. It was unavoidable. In my eyes the remakes done by Blue Point of Shadow of the Colossus and Demon Souls were 1:1 and still very much remakes in the eyes of all. So my anchor point has always been that. I think SotC was the first remake for me actually. It's nothing groundbreaking. But that game really only needed better visuals anyhow.
And thats actually a great way to put it I like that one, I'll use that in the future haha. Its certainly more a recreation rather than a reinterpretation. Which is exactly how it should be. Given I didn't mind it that much with FF7 and to be honest I trust SE a bit more to pull it off. But I have no such faith in Konami so all they should do is just recreate their old games. As we said, 1:1.

Within the past few years, all of my favorite childhood games have either been remade or announced to be remade. RE2, RE4, Silent Hill 2, FFVII (more of a sequel that one is but whatevs, lol) and now MGS: Snake Eater.
