- The Steller's Sea Cow is a large extinct marine mammal that inhabited the cold waters surrounding an island on the Bering Sea.

The animal is named after the German explorer Georg Wilhelm Steller, who stranded on an Island on the Bering Sea. They had to eat these animals to strengthen to sail back.
