Like Mylène did, Zazie stole our hearts many years ago! She's a monster on stage, a legend as a writer. She has so many number1 succes. Her work is phenomenal!
Zazie’s just a complete and a huge artist and composer, she wrote lyrics for so many people, and she is actually the one who wrote the lyrics «allumer le feu” for Johnny Hallyday. She wrote and hundreds of songs for French artists and herself. And she’s a simple woman, and she stayed very humble after her success, I love when she cracks her voice on purpose ( like she’s not Sia obviously ) but she knows exactly how to improve and use her voice. Keep going guys, love your content 🙂 great choice
You should see her now, on concert she rocks ! She write lyrics and music, her texts are very difficult to understand for a non french language and translation not easy
@The Wolf HunterZ Hello, Yes, thanks very much, so nice you react to French music! It's not that we French don't like Anglo-Saxon music. It's just that Anglo-Saxon piece is already distributed around the world. And on the radio, 50% of Anglo-Saxon music is already playing on our French airwaves. The reverse for French music isn't reciprocal. This is why we are perhaps more enthusiastic about coming and seeing the reactions to the songs in French more than in English. It opens a tiny window on our music to Anglo-Saxons. And, it warms our hearts to share this with you in seeing your reaction. Do you know what I mean? But you have to know that French songs are often very concentrated on the lyrics. So it's better for us when you reacted to a French song with a suitable translation on the side during your watch.😉 Do you want excellent rock French recorded live (but with no public, it's a studio record live in the video), very catchy? I suggest you: *Axel Bauer - Eteins la lumière | Live à Ferber | #3* on *Axel Bauer Official* TH-cam Channel. You'll not be disappointed, I think ... *Switch off the light* (Translation) By dint of seeing each other, we no longer saw each other, We so wanted to believe in it that we no longer believed in it, And don't leave me, if you aren't sure about it Far, far away from you, you say me in a whisper "This little affair Is going to turn out badly" Throw light on it Switch off the light Show me your dark side Look at the shadows Wandering Look for a bit of light Everything lights up Now that the sky no longer has any wall Let's slip into the gap Hearts are so light, where I take you Other people have come to this domain Switch off the light Wash what's not you away Blow dust on you Switch off the light Show me your dark side Look at the shadows Wandering Look for a bit of light Everything lights up
By dint of seeing each other, we no longer saw each other, We so wanted to believe in it that we no longer believed in it, "This little affair Is going to turn out badly" Switch off the light Show me your dark side Look at the shadows Wandering Look for a bit of light Everything lights up ... This text has a double meaning. The first, which is said on the surface in the song. That's to say, sometimes the weariness can be found in a couple who have spent long years together and who are looking for a new lease of life so as not to sink into a routine, or worse yet, incommunicability. It's therefore an invitation to go back to basics, to what forged their relationship at the start of their meeting. But if you reread it once, but this time under its *dark side* (here the pun in the lyrics) body physical, then you'll also realize that's an invitation to an unbridled sexual frolic he invites his girlfriend or wife. In other words, he said to her: *Let go of principles a little and taste the pleasures forbidden by the "puritans". I'll make you discover new unexpected pleasures.* But in fact, she knows where he wants to go cause she says *"This little affair Is going to turn out badly"* which again is in a double way of meaning.😋 That's all for today folks! If ever you read me ...Peace Friends! 🤗
Hey my metal friends going deeper on good french music stuff! Zazie is a good one too... she do a lot of small stage as well... very close from her fan and a very simple girl ✊ can’t wait for the next reaction! 😎🤘
Hi ! I do love your reactions whatever the country or the artists. These little videos help us to build bridges between different cultures and it's great. For more informations on Zazie, she writes, composes and sings. Her texts are really deep and always use puns with french references so it is not very easy to translate her words but I tried my best below. The song deals with Monopoly vocabulary. The main message is that the most important is inside you and not the apparences or the money. Hope it will help you to better understand this sweet artist. Unfortunately Zazie stopped the capture of her concerts for years now. So you will only see old concert extracts. She thinks that the people who makes the effort to come to concert must have something more than the others. I wish you all the best for this new year. Greetings and love from France. I’m selling my car cause I’m speeding too much And it scares me I’m selling my hoard since such a success Doesn’t make me happy. I’m selling my charms and my weapons My violence and my sweetness I’m saving my skin and selling my soul to devil I’m selling my factory before oxygen Ends up to be missing I’m selling my oil before the sea Ends up to dying at our feet I’m saving the bear’s skin before having killed him I’m saving the furnitures and sell the house To build an hotel on Peace street To build an hotel on Peace street A world where everybody would love each other At last I’m buying a castle in Spain I’m buying a castle in Spain I ‘m buying a world where everybody wins At the end I’m selling my chance card and I’m drawing in the cash We deserve To receive an advance if it is for give it back To the community I’m taking action even if I’m monopolizing the attention And stay several rounds in prison To build an hotel on Peace street To build an hotel on Peace street A world where everybody would love each other At last I’m buying a castle in Spain I’m buying a castle in Spain I ‘m buying a world where everybody wins At the end I’m selling everything I have for everything I lack I’m selling everything which can be bought for what is priceless And I’m selling what I’m worth for what is the most precious to me And if it is not worth a thing Too bad I would give everything
Just came across your Zazie reviews. Very nice and unexpected. Continue to amaze us with your open minds and fresh, funny approach. By the way, Suzy you do have a good french accent, congratulations, you'll get there!!
Zazie or Isabelle de Truchis de Varennes. This concert was recorded in Belgium, not in France. Zazie is tall, 6 feet, so she doesn't wear shoes so as not to overtake her musicians. Mathieu RABATE is one of the best French drummers.

Mylene Farmer and Zazie are the best french female singer 30 years ago !!!! So many beautiful songs (down tempo, overwhelming).
You should see her now, on concert she rocks ! She write lyrics and music, her texts are very difficult to understand for a non french language and translation not easy

*Switch off the light* (Translation)
By dint of seeing each other, we no longer saw each other,
We so wanted to believe in it that we no longer believed in it,
And don't leave me, if you aren't sure about it
Far, far away from you, you say me in a whisper
"This little affair
Is going to turn out badly"
Throw light on it
Switch off the light
Show me your dark side
Look at the shadows
Wandering
Look for a bit of light
Everything lights up
Now that the sky no longer has any wall
Let's slip into the gap
Hearts are so light, where I take you
Other people have come to this domain
Switch off the light
Wash what's not you away
Blow dust on you
Switch off the light
Show me your dark side
Look at the shadows
Wandering
Look for a bit of light
Everything lights up
By dint of seeing each other, we no longer saw each other,
We so wanted to believe in it that we no longer believed in it,
"This little affair
Is going to turn out badly"
Switch off the light
Show me your dark side
Look at the shadows
Wandering
Look for a bit of light
Everything lights up ...

Rodéo live is also a masterpiece !
I am not big fan of her live version of this song primarily of the drums but album version and whole album itsekf is a genius.
It was recorded in belgium which is known for the fantastic crowds. A lot of french speaking albums live are recorded in belgium for this reason
Damn, that's for sure unexpected ! Zazie is an amazing artist
I love you so much guys! You are fun, you groove on music, please go on with your channel!!!!
Thanks to react to Zazie..and that s just the beginning for french artists...so many things we would like you to discover...
To me Zazie, except of a few rappers is one of the best poet(resse)s in France.

I’m selling my car cause I’m speeding too much
And it scares me
I’m selling my hoard since such a success
Doesn’t make me happy.
I’m selling my charms and my weapons
My violence and my sweetness
I’m saving my skin and selling my soul to devil
I’m selling my factory before oxygen
Ends up to be missing
I’m selling my oil before the sea
Ends up to dying at our feet
I’m saving the bear’s skin before having killed him
I’m saving the furnitures and sell the house
To build an hotel on Peace street
To build an hotel on Peace street
A world where everybody would love each other
At last
I’m buying a castle in Spain
I’m buying a castle in Spain
I ‘m buying a world where everybody wins
At the end
I’m selling my chance card and I’m drawing in the cash
We deserve
To receive an advance if it is for give it back
To the community
I’m taking action even if I’m monopolizing the attention
And stay several rounds in prison
To build an hotel on Peace street
To build an hotel on Peace street
A world where everybody would love each other
At last
I’m buying a castle in Spain
I’m buying a castle in Spain
I ‘m buying a world where everybody wins
At the end
I’m selling everything I have for everything I lack
I’m selling everything which can be bought for what is priceless
And I’m selling what I’m worth for what is the most precious to me
And if it is not worth a thing
Too bad I would give everything
