@@rtmadani Ryan, I ended up with an Oops Edition Oyster Cooler. It has some glue stains on the bottom where you can't really see it, good deal! This cooler is so efficient, about 45 minutes after the Yeti thin ice go into the cooler it literally feels like a freezer inside. When you open the lid and stick your hands inside you really really feel that strong chill in the cooler as well as the super cold interior walls. Amazing! Can't wait to use it on our next camping trip to keep the beers ice cold!

@@rtmadani Yup, the convenience factor is high! Like you said in your video, on short trips, just plop the thermal batteries in and off you go. No more pre chilling the coolers and no more lifting really large and heavy coolers!

Hey! I think it's really cool that Oyster has made this thing easy to repair for any issues down the line right from the start! For a newer company, I think they're setting a great example of making products that perform for the long haul, all while being repairable and 100% recyclable! Thank you for taking the time to comment!

I absolutely love my Oyster cooler. To say that it’s revolutionary is an understatement. It keeps my drinks colder than any other cooler. It requires no pre-chill. I left it full of frozen meat in my trunk on 80+ days for 3 days (don’t ask 🤦🏻‍♀️) and the meat was still frozen! Not solid but definitely still frozen. And aesthetically it’s gorgeous, well balanced to carry and the latch hinge function is extremely satisfying.

Thank you for sharing your experience and wow that's impressive that it stayed frozen in those temps! From my first trip with the Oyster, I was pretty much convinced that this one is it!

I have the oyster cooler as well for a few month now, I am a wedding photographer based in toronto, and summer here do get hot. this cooler helps keeping drinks extremely cold for a long periods of time. The only wish I have is I hope they come out with a solo version of this cooler, I would buy it in a heart beat. The oyster cooler is a bit much to carry just for one person single day use.

I've been using the Oyster cooler for almost 1 year and am 100% satisfied with the product. The greatest point is that it's smaller than any other cooler with the same volume by the thin wall. After I got the oyster, I do not carry electric coolers mostly. It's enough for three day camping trip.

The cost to ship the Oyster bundle to Singapore is $800 SGD. I’m trying to convince my spouse to get one. I really like how it’s space-saving because here, it’s hot year-round and usually we bring a lot of fans (five of them!) when camping. With the Oyster, it would definitely help save some space, and I might not even need to buy ice if I purchase four thermal batteries.
Anyways, thanks for making all the videos; I really appreciate your effort as it makes me want to go camping more often eventho its super hot here. Right now, we’re planning a camping road trip to the Malaysian highlands where the temperature is cool and it’s an 8-hour drive! I’m so excited since it’s our first time camping in cool weather, and I won’t have to bring so many fans. Hahaha.

The space savings with the Oyster is so nice! I was just reading from another commenter that they live in Arizona and four thermal batteries has been working for them in the heat. I love your dedication to going out camping despite the weather! Hope you have an awesome time in the Malaysian Highlands, sounds like an incredible trip! Thank you for your support!

Nice Review! I moved from the Yeti Roadie 24 to the Oyster Cooler. I thought of a few things while watching your review.
Yeti Ice was created to make ice last longer. It wasn’t meant to replace ice. It is colder than ice’s melting temperature until it loses its power then the ice melts. That’s the idea anyway. Also as you mentioned, because RotoMolded coolers are injected with foam insulation they need to be precooled in order to cool down all that insulation otherwise it becomes a thermal load and cuts significantly into how long your ice lasts.
Oyster Cooler is very different because it is so efficient that ice packs will make it a freezer and it will freeze drinks and other things. So Oyster had to create the thermal batteries. They are a special blend to maintain 39° F inside the cooler. That may be why you think items are not cold because you are use to ice which is at 32°. I bought two extra thermal batteries so I have 4 and usually get a couple days or more of 39°.
Because the Oyster cooler is so efficient they are working on a replacement lid that will plug into 12v and keep the cooler cold indefinitely. In essence it will become an electric refrigerator. Maybe some time next year we could see it.
The only thing I can think of that can be a problem is the lid falling off if you accidentally push on it while it is tilted back open. After breaking a beautiful hand blown glass vase on the kitchen counter I always take the lid compleately off to load or unload and I am very careful about what is behind it when in use. I like being able to open it both directions so this is just something to be aware of.
As you mentioned, it’s so thermally efficient that it doesn’t need to be precooled. It can go in the car and at the grocery store hold cold groceries, even ice cream, without the thermal batteries for hours. If you’re running errands the grocery store no longer needs to be one of your last stops.

Hey, that makes sense on the thermal batteries, I should've probably just went with four from the start! Wow had no idea they were working on something like this, I'm really looking forward to seeing that electric lid variation in the future! For a newer company, I am blown away by the quality and performance they are putting out. Thank you for taking the time to comment and sharing your experience with the Oyster!

A couple of days ago I got an email from Oyster stating that they had a few for sale that were "Scratch and dent". It was basically about a $100 discount. I ordered one and now I'm waiting for it to arrive. I'm going to sell an Orca cooler I've been using for a few years and replace it with the Oyster.

Yeah, I agree with the prep with Yetis and Alike. It's too much work , precool, buying ice.
DC fridges for me, and I always bring more than enough power.
Though , I must say that Oyster looks super cool. Like something that is only sold in the Japan market. There is an Iceco dc fridge that's all aluminum, which looks like this oyster.
