I saw Evangelion for the first time in my life in 2023 and I couldn't be more delighted with this song, it touched my heart.
I’m watching the end of evangelion and when this song plays it has to be the weirdest part ... it’s been years and I still don’t really understand what’s going on it just messes with my head soo much but this song makes it worth watching

It's nihilism at its finest. Nothing means anything and all the people on earth just turns into one giant bowl of liquid, become one entity. No more struggle, no more pain. All your regrets and love are forgotten forever.
It's basically Shinji's apologies for having screwed it so badly, he was supposed to save mankind, instead he ended up being the catalyst of Armageddon. While every human being (or living creature) melt into an orange soul soup, which is being collected by Rei/Lilith who Is in God mode, one soul, one and one only, refuses to join in, that's the only soul Shinji was really looking for, Asuka. And Shinji screws it again, even worse than before 🤷🏻♂️. In the end we got stuck in a loop.
Well at least we created a new Goddess.

Me too, but its strange because im also happy at the same time. The lyrics and the upbeat sound are conflicting with each other and i think thats why i love this song so much

1. I only got to watched EVA for the first time last 2 months ago.
2. Same month that I got to love the song.
3. ANIMAX WAS AVAILABLE ON OUR CABLE LAST 6 MONTHS AND DAMN, I FORGOT THAT THIS WAS THAT SONG ON THEIR PLAY LIST. I WOULD LOVE TO SING A LONG WITH HER.

This song is a part of the combination of everything awesome that is EVA and it genuinely saved my life. I probably watched the show on my lowest point and I cried for two days. But I did feel mich better later.
