Do you recommend having each EQ instance/toon account in a separate folder, or just 1 folder for all accounts?
Man I cannot get my team to follow or assist me with the ALT - F and ALT-A commands. Are these universal commands that should work with key map turned on?
Do you have a macro on each client with a follow? In ISBoxer alt f calls control 1 in each window for me. So I have a hot bar button bound to control 1 with my follow macro. I don’t use an assist key separate from my normal attacks.
Can you do a video on how to make nuke macros for classes like necro and mage. I keep trying to make macros but it never casts more then 2 spells
on the list. Thank you!
The first time I tried to setup ISBoxer it showed an Everquest launcher. Something happened when I traveled with my laptop and now my team is gone and when I tried to set them up again, I get Generic or denothing. I've gotten so frustrated I ready to go back to the hard way and not use ISBoxer. Then my Inner Space slides off my monitor like it's going to another monitor and I can't get it back! Grrr... I need all kinds of help. Ypu all make it look so easy and it isn't! Maybe I'm just getting too old to do this crap! I was so excited to make my box team so much easier.
UPDATE: So I un-installed and reinstalled IS Boxer and I was able to load my characters. Also the original team I setup were there also. Jeez do I have a lot left to learn. I swear I listen to all of you TH-camrs and I think I can do it, not too hard. But actually using it os a different story. I really wish my mind was as young and agile as it is to be!!!! I figured if o can build my own computers I should be able to do this! Thx for your bids, I probably wouldn't have tried it otherwise.
Were you able to get this working? I missed this comment. ISBoxer can be a beast to setup, that's why I try to avoid this videos on it. I highly recommend the ISboxer discord for setup they have a ton of videos and written guides on the subject.
@@hammackj I did get it setup finally. I also did the vid FX 3 tumes!! But it's working n g great.

remind people it takes about 1hour if your new to set this up before you start playing that includes isboxer character sets and getting all your characters first turn in quests done before you go outside.
It took me about an hour to make accounts. Make the characters then start the config for isboxer. In this video I did the turn ins off camera as I moved them from start to newbie yard. That didn’t take that long. Minus the loading all the isboxer stuff is done real time.
How are all your hot bars set up right out of the gate? Did you have to change any keybinds? Follow is not working, Only thing working is my broadcasting of 1-= buttons
Yeah, sorry I had deleted these characters then brought them back to make the video using the same names + I imported my main characters UI at the time. In game you have to set a hotkey to your follow key and in isboxer. I thought I had covered that but I will do an 2022 updated video of this using clean clients. It has been a while since I set it up and things might have changed using newer versions.
My characters keep going linkdead before I can do any sort of these hotkey mappings. Any idea why I might be getting chain LD'd?

followed your steps exactly step by step over 5 times and deleted group sets. never once could I get this supposedly simple follow set up to work.
Did you make the socials in game and bind them to a key?

The in game social should look like:
Line 1: /xtarget 1
OR Like this
Line 1: /pause 5, /target CHARACTER_NAME
Line 2: /stand
Line 3: /follow
can you help me get mine set up? followed the directions seems the clicks are casting stuff on my characters slots my sk FDs my bard and rogue and cleric fade thats all tied to 5 and control shift 5 triggers that. also resolution seems off anyway to get it full resolution with the screens below it
I am a bit confused. You need to arrange the hot keys on each character in a logical way. IE 2 = spam macros 5 = debuffs 6 = evades. You probably have to setup Control-Shift-5 in ISBoxer to broadcast I dont think it is one of the default broadcast keys. You can change the resolution in game under system/display options inside of everquest. alt-O opens that window.
@@hammackj they just mirror the main character and run and turn in the same direction as the main guy when I broadcast the WASD keys move them all
I just use the i. Game follow as one wrong angle and the chars will run off randomly
@@hammackj Hi, I have the same problem as Prayer Doctor. What do you mean you use the "i". I have setup the hotkeys as per your latest vid....ie. main tank is just /g follow me......2nd char first line /pause 5, /target 2nd line /follow however the same as Prayer Doctor they target ok.....and the follow is ack as an action but they mirror every move and don't follow me. So if I move backwards they all move backwards away from me and don't follow. I have read up quite a few posts but the more I read the more confused I get. I have also setup ISBoxer the same way as you describe in your latest setup vid. Sorry for me being a gumby but I would love to start using ISBoxer I have a full license now for the next 2 yrs.
Is ISBoxer alone (basically just a better way of switching between windows), or just the key broadcasting considered a "suspendable / bannable" offense now? I don't know what they're trying to accomplish with these suspension waves and bans, other than killing their bottom-line. The botters and farmers sure, but people trying to level characters in Gribble or otherwise who can't find groups of people to play with? Dumb move on their part.
how would this work for melee classes like.. Rouges with Back stab.. Or monks with all of thier moves?
Works pretty well. /autoskill backstab and monk stuff then on auto follow position them correctly. In my moon kitties series I do it truebox with a rogue. In sons of Thule I use ISBoxer for bard/bst/monk

how do you set it up to log in your characters from the is icon in the system tray?
Creating the team in ISBoxer and exporting it should add it to the click on the system tray. Let me know if you have more questions.
Did you make a video like this for MQ?
Not really. There is some in the 54x series but since I mostly play live I don’t use mq anymore.
@hammackj They should have just added all the classes as mercs, and let you have 5 of them, so any player can pick their own ideal group setup. As far as boxing goes, for me, 3 toons was hard enough! I wouldn't mind using 3rd party software to help ease the burden though. I would have loved to control a full group of my ideal 6 toons.
I've been using ISBoxer for a few years now and I love it. Makes Everquest very enjoyable.
What I'm worried about and cannot find any information is this. EQ has a new UI coming out in April of 2023. Will this will make ISBoxer unusable? Has anyone heard anything about this?
I would say ISBoxer will work just fine after any update. It doesn’t mod the client or anything.
I would like to use ISBoxer w/MQ2. Only using ISBoxer for the display setup. Is there a way to do that without using all the other features of Inner Space?

Would you know why one of my boxes crashes at log in? i am only boxing 3.
What kind of crash do you get? Just ISBoxer + eqgame? how are you loading them?
@@hammackj I am loading it through the main program. It's a single char that will not load all other chats on the account load.
@@hammackj if I load it through the reg client it works. However, if I load it through is boxer it force loses the program. Only is I log into that character.
everytime i try to load up a character it boots me off after like 1 or 2 mins why does this happen?

Agnarr is Truebox. You cannot use it there. Any Live server or a relaxed truebox server it will work. They block it only on those servers to preserve the truebox code.
When running your raid how do u minimize gpu usage?
And how do you have it autologin? I'm trying to run 54 toons and logging each account is a pain.
I use multiple client installs 1 with moderate settings(main tank) the rest have just about everything off. I also dont use isboxer for the 54x character I use the bat file to launch them via macroquest2's autologin stuff. Let me know if you need more info.
@@hammackj do you have isoboxer call that bat file that then calls macroquest. Do you perhaps have a video on this or link to how this is done?

nothing you showed helped at all how are you hiting a key on main char and the rest of the boxes now what key you hit
During the wizard in ISBoxer it should enable key repeating for 1 to = on the keyboard. th-cam.com/video/jILAgXT_wWc/w-d-xo.html This video is an updated version of this video and might cover some extra things I missed. You will have to set-up in game macros to assist your main character and stuff.
I have my macro set up and assist/auto attack how do i create the broadcast key or key map to be numb pad 1? So I can spam numb 1 key pad and they all assist and attack. Also can u link a multi bind hot bar with numb pad 1 to do aa ability’s thanks
