Anthony Walker is freshman and is a tough customer who wrestled at Detroit Central High School. In December, CMU had a dual meet against, of all teams, Penn State, the defending NCAA team champion and winner or 9 of the last 11 NCAA titles. Perhaps predictably, Penn State beat CMU 50-3. The 3 points were Anthony Walker's 5-4 win over Penn State sophomore Gary Steen. Steen was 50-1 during his final two high school seasons and won two Pennsylvania state high school titles. Keep your eye on Anthony. There's a good reason he wasn't red-shirted this year! The official awarded Acuna a takedown for the action that occurred at 5:29, but the official then wiped the takedown. Without asking the official, I can only speculate that he had changed his mind based on how tentative Acuna's control of both legs were, given how quickly Walker pulled his far leg away from Acuna prior to the out-of-bounds call.
I’ve recently been interested in wrestling. I didn’t know it could be so rough. I’ve seen guys bleeding. I still don’t understand how it works. Does the guy have to pin the other down for a set number of time or..?
