What a completely shockingly incompetent piece of officiating. Early on he stops Blu in the middle of an attempted throw to talk to Red about keeping his head up, then cautions Blu for passivity 15 seconds later. At 4:30, someone has to have scored. Blu gets 4 points for feet to danger..... or Blu lose 2 points + a caution for leg use, either way, someone had to score there. Then he turns his back on and leaves the wrestlers to go talk to the coach, which he should not be doing in the first place, that is for the mat chairman to do.
The wrestlers themselves put out a good effort. They deserved better.

The early stopped attempted throw was likely just unlucky timing on the referee's end, but red was sitting headfirst in blue's chest and that needed to be addressed because that's negative wrestling.
4:30 ? Blue's legs were stuck and had nowhere to go as red tried his throw and no points were given until the end as the control was still in red's literal hands until blue reversed the positions, end result 2P blue. Could be another caution for red, 2p blue because he was using the back of his hands to block blue's reversal, but instead got the caution for blocking the par terre activity with his legs literal seconds later.
Can't figure out a reason why he had to talk to the coach though, I thought you were talking about the caution gesture to show that his wrestler had 1-2 cautions when they were restarting in par terre, but I'll throw out that the UWW regulations state that the coach-secondant should only deal with their wrestler's actions, not the perceived incompetence of the referee, because that'll definitely not get the officials to change their minds. I do agree that a yellow card would have deterred the coach better than a telling off by the referee.

@@lemmingship3469Good, competent mat officials don't have "unlucky timing". You have to recognize the situation and "neither blow the whistle too soon nor too late", to quote the FILA guide.
