Wasn't very keen to buy any new e-reader cause, quite satisfied with three of them. But this nook awakens the appetite. Having old nook and Sony, I like this size, and audio features. it's exactly could be reason to buy this one. Waiting for next episode of nook discovery series.. episode software 😉
I gasped so hard I forgot I was drinking through a Straw and almost died! (I’m okay now). YAYYY!!! I have been waiting for you guys to get a hold of this one. I wanna go over to Nook Ecosystem but was waiting for the perfect device and I heard this one is coming out and my birthday is in October so I’m sooo excited for your actual review of this device!
I haven't upgraded since the original Simple Touch with Glow light and I can't wait to get this in the mail. So excited.
Was so excited, it was hitting every beat for me until I saw it didn't have expandable storage...
Though, I do hope they come out with a white version.
Interesting size and look, any chance that this unit or any other have voice synthetizer, combining reading with hearing of the same document can elevate the experience very much.

I love B&N and purchase their membership every year since college. But, I’m looking for a color e-reader. If the book covers are all displayed in black and white, it gets me depressed and deters me from reading 😂 Also, it seems like the transition of screens on this Nook still lags and reminds me of the old fashion e-book from many many many years ago… I’m still looking for a colored e-reader for Christmas 🎄

Minor correction to the article on the website - this isn't the first Nook with audio capabilities and a headphone jack. The very 1st gen Nook (the white one with the color LCD strip under the e-ink display) could play mp3s via speakers or wired headphones. I bought that one, and was annoyed that it was almost instantly discontinued.
My question is, do they still block off most of the internal storage from sideloaded content? It's been a while since the last time I bought a new Nook, but that one only let you use 1 or 2gb of its storage for user content.
with calibre I was able to load up fully my GL 4. only epubs. I imainge we can not sideload audio on this, but I would be happy to be wrong.
I wonder if they've finally upgraded the android version running underneath. Hope the hacking community gets this one opened up for side loading apks. Do you know if the screen is Carta 1200?
