Hi Julius here from South Africa. I own a toyota which has a 4age 20v blacktop which uses a vvt (the 4age was swapped into my car), the 4age has been converted to a carburetor. My question to you is how do I connect my vvt solenoid since my corolla is carburetor and doesn't have a ecu box? I heard you mentioned something about connecting the vvt solenoid to a 12v relay??
so if i understand correctly this little ~250eu box does nothing when used with factory EMS, no bhp/torque gains, it's useable only if aftermarket EMS is used like megajolt, megasquirt etc, correct?
Opexo, essentially yes it is aimed for aftermarket use only where the VVT Control is not an option on the new fitted ECU, that being said some gains may be possible on a standard car as Ford would of targeted emissions etc. Cheers
very thoroughly explained , ive read all the threads on all the forums and am goint to give one a try, i currently run a st170 motor with a dta s60 in my blue car and a zetec with cams and jenveys on another, so i will compare the 3, well done with the video and th vvtpro www.mk2mania.co.uk
Thank you so much for the explanation I'm totally novice to new school technology so this is really helpful

Hi Matt can I remap my st170 I've been told I will only expect 7 bhp but will that give me moor torque and would I notice the difference????
Do you make a system that will run the VVT on a Toyota 2JZ engine?
Hello, what happen if the VVT connector is left disconnected? my car doen´t walk its over 20km/H, it´s normal?? thanks
So is the factory setup the optimum ?
Does the me221 include this within it?
So why do we need vvt pro if the stock ecu adjusts the amount of advance depending on rpm to allows for the widest power band already?
It does but this ios for use with aftermarket ECUs on race cars etc that dont have VVT control built in, and no factory ECU either...
