I'll have to give that coffee a try. Best stuff I've found for camping trips so far is the Starbucks VIA. It's just beans mircoground to an ultra fine powder. People crab because it's expensive. I. Don't. Care. Good coffee in the bush is essential. Also, not sure if yourlve tried them, but Packit Gourmet makes excellent dehydrated trail meals. However, they're also not cheap. Nice to splurge on food for a trip once in a while though.
Jodi, another great video. Been subscribed for some time. So happy to see such positive things working in your life. Congrats to you and Cory on your recent marriage. Keep on putting out your videos. Can't wait to see how your cabin turns out. Much love from Lake St. Louis Missouri.
I total get it when you say you can do whatever, whenever on a solo trip. Don’t want to do dishes right now? No problem! Want to take a nap at 11am? Go for it! Have an awkward trip or bump your head on a branch? Nobody there to laugh at you. I love it.
My husband and I went up for my second trip on June 17th for what was supposed to be a 5-6 day trip. It stormed on Tuesday, and sadly we made the decision to leave on the 19th, because everything was wet and the forecast was calling for more rain. We packed up only to end up camping in the EP parking lot for two days because the road was washed out (Mudro EP).
I fish when I travel using a rod holder and follow the shore about thirty feet out. If I snag, I can paddle back over it to release it. Myself, I seem to be a bear magnet compared to most. I saw one on the road driving home last night. Have a good one, Jodi. Love your solo wilderness videos.
Really enjoy your camping videos and appreciate your helpful tips! I too love the solitude and freedom of doing whatever my heart wants, thanks for sharing ☮️💟
Look up One Wind Hammock fore ether a bug net fore your ENO or a whole hammock set up. To ewes the bug net on your ENO you will need a ridge line fore it. Love the vid. :)
Thanks for the video.... I am 58 years old and some of my best memories are going to a remote spot and being socked in by rain for the entire trip, I remember like it was yesterday, I hope you enjoy the memories !!
I think what your talking about as far ar 🏕 alone goes is there is always that feeling of how dose my decisions affect others. Where if your alone you can truly do what you want free of guilt. My I ask what 🛶 canoe your are using? Thanks for another great video.

I love your solo trips. I can feel the serenity it brings. Loved hearing the loons. Your camping skills are top-notch. I'm glad the bear stayed away.
I liked your video. A tarp is your best friend on a rainy day.
Thank you!
I love this video Jodi! I love when you showed us the zig zag tree

I agree, if it's good coffee, it's worth the cost! I have not tried packet gourmet but might have to try.
looks so incredibly spectacular!

Seen photos of that. That must've sucked!
I cut my trip short too. One night a tree crashed just missing my canoe.

Wow, the loons ARE spectacular. So glad you got that on film!
They really are incredible animals.

Thank you! I love doing these trips. Even the short ones.
You gotta check it out. There was a daddy long-legs spider crawling over the tree branch in the foreground at 2:38!
I didn't notice that until you mentioned it!
I just love your camping videos
Thank you!

Great looking campsite and great adventure. Glad you got your footwear sorted this trip. Thanks for sharing your trip.
Yes! Chaos and Hiking boots are perfect for me!
Beautiful lady great trip peace and quiet is really needed the world is moving so fast. Time to be at peace!
Thanks!
That log was a nice catch! 😂 Jigs are notorious for snagging on stuff when you're shore fishing, so it's not really anything you're doing wrong.
Thanks! Probably the largest log catch of my life. At least that I reeled in.
Nice camp spot!! Glad the bear never showed up
Me too! 😅
Which size front load portage pack are you using, 85L? How do you like it vs a traditional top load?
I have a Prism for sale it's carbon fiber I only used it on 2 trips it was brand new. 28 lbs.
You lasted a lot longer than I would have in that rain 😮😂
Haha! I enjoyed it, until I was soaking wet through my rain gear...
Do you ever boil water over the campfire meals? That's what I do.
Yes. I do that when I bring the right pots and pans for it. Cooking fish over the fire is my favorite.
What entry point, might have missed in the beginning?
That is entry point 60 or 61 depending whether she went to Daniels or Duncan.
Do you ever get tornados
Minnesota does get tornadoes, but rarely this far north.
Nice stick fish! How much that sucker weigh?...... lmao.
Definitely a 20 pounder.
