Love most of your recommendations. I have used the GSI pour over for coffee and it works great. I wrote last year about my plans for a trip with a couple of canoes I would build. I did the builds and had a great trip with my two sons and my grandson. You truly live in a special place.
Bringing a wet pair of socks is a great idea. It's always such a downer when you get your socks wet on a canoe trip. Getting them wet the day before is a clever way to transfer the disappointment from your trip to the pretrip.
It has been a crazy busy season as I am finishing graduate school and preparing for our wedding. I appreciate all of the patience as we wrap up some of these super busy things. We have many cabin and canoe camping videos planned for this Spring, Summer, and beyond. :)
Efferdent. Seriously, denture cleaning tabs. The Camelback cleaning tabs are $1.50 per tab, the Walmart version are about a nickel a piece. It is the same stuff. Hoses, filter bags, any hard to reach spot that can get moldy, this fizzy stuff cleans it.
I was working in a gear shop when they first came out, and we were playing around with some sample tabs so we could describe them to customers. I realized it was basically my grandma's Efferdent tabs. One box lasts me about five years.@@jodimiddendorf

Great packing list! We started bringing chairs a couple of years ago. It is definitely a bonus.

Getting ready to head out again this year. I feel like watching your videos are part of my yearly routine. Thanks for the vid
Awwww I hope your trip is lovely! Northern lights have been out lately…. 😉
Thank you, this video is very helpful.
Thanks for the helpful tips! I live in Minnesota and have yet to visit BWCA. It's a trip I dream about often.

Great to see the gear you are using at the moment. Have been playing pass the pigs most of the weekend with my nephews. 😊
Great info thank you!
Wonderful and informative video Jodi. What brand is your collapsible pot? That’s what I’ve been missing and didn’t realize it. 😁
Wow that is the largest set of Pass the Pigs i have ever seen! Ours is just a little guy that fits in a pocket haha
Yes! We were nervous to bring the little set because they might not land well on the rough terrain. The large set works well in the woods!
@@jodimiddendorf Amazing! I must find this and bring on our trips - great find!
Think about , am i willing to carry it , portage it ?
Good point.
Damn you look good in a canoe.
Don't be creepy
