I'VE truly been blessed when it comes to my life and the musical experiences I've had with them. My mothers sister...my aunt..an O.G. Punk rocker from the 70's when if you were seen wearing a dog collar the masses thought you needed some sort of therapy. My aunt whose crowed established the Caberet Metro into part of the holy trinity of places in Chicago to go see a concert. Who went from working in record store to working for Warner Brothers and had to turn a job running the Beastie Boys Grand Royal Records. I was a teenager in the 90's and part of the movement that pushed the crappy Glam rock bands and pushed in the Grundge era of Seattle bands bringing with them other legends like Tool, Rage, Chilli Peppers and Janes Addiction. Beatie Boys and Cypress Hill being a massive part of that movement as well, and I got to see each and everyone of these bands multiple times. Free backstage passes. Pit tickets, upfront tickets. Etc. But still. My biggest part of being spoiled was my introduction to CHICAGO HOUSE. UNDERGROUND. DEEP. JACK.......AND JUST THE CHICAGO SOUND THAT ONLY CHICAGO HAS WITH A VERY SELECT FEW OF INSPIRED ARTISTS FROM ELSEWHERE. My mainstay was the downstairs to my aunts PUNK ROCK mainstay. Where the Metro's owner opened up an underground club because he then had a place where he could spin HOUSE. Thank you for that JOE. Amongst the many many fabulous DJ's that would spin there. Many of them working part time at Gramophone's so they had the connection and luxury grabbing shit when it came out, but to be a part of the History that is Chicago Underground House. The era of House that Paul Johnson ushered in along with a few others from what was Knucklles and Farley's age of OLD SCHOOL house to what was until just a few years ago NEW SCHOOL HOUSE. Personally my opinion is OLD SCHOOL HOUSE is anything that was being spun on only 2 turn tables. A few years ago it got a new name. "90's". Even tho 3 or 4 decks went past 99 buy many years. Anyway. I learned early on there was 3 CHICAGO HOUSE DJ'S that while there were and ARE MANY MANY MANY extremely talented House DJ's these 3 carved out to what I look at as the HOLY TRINITY OF HOUSE. While Knuckles, Farley and a TO LONG LIST OF NAMES TO POST HERE, I look at them as the OLD TESTAMENT. THE MOSES GROUP. Paul Johnson was the bridge of timelines. The ENOCH OR ELIJAH of HOUSE. Who NEVER died and ascended straight up to Heave. But THE JESUS GROUP OF HOUSE are 3 individuals who NOT ONLY REPRESENT THE BEST OF WHAT I THINK HOUSE IS, AND STILL IS NOW. Their styles being so different. Their nationalities and skin color being so different. Mark Farina "THE WHITE BOY" with his jazzy style. SOLE CREATOR OF A STYLE OF MUSIC that even tho it's carries with it bits and pieces of so many genre''s of music that so many of us love ranging from Jazz, deep house, conscious rap hip-hop, HOUSE etc.....when you hear it.......there is NO DENIAL it is it's OWN child born from the inspiration of musical style that most HOUSE HEADS LOVE other then ACTUAL Underground House. The FATHER OF MUSHROOM JAZZ. Who MORE THEN ANY OTHER DJ ALIVE OR DEAD!!!!! Works the preferred style and taste of what ever particular city his is and spinning for. No other DJ does this better the Mark Farina does even when they try. BUT WHEN YOU BRING HIM HOME!!!!!!!!! That's when you see with no holding back reservations. You want to see him spin with a bit of a more laid back style like you find in many of his live sets on other listening platforms like the "CLOUDS" then you have to see him when he's doing double or triple duty sets and he has it scheduled. This hour to that hour he spins ONE CERTAIN WAY, and from the THIS hour to THAT hour he spins another way. Then there's the gay black man who STILL residents the club under the Metro. SMART BAR. The DJ who no can argue when they say he's the best that ever lived. Mark is on this level himself, and when you think of Derrick you think of Mark. Derrick I'm convinced changes the BPM'S he spins at mid set. He is ALWAYS NO DOUBT STRICTLY UNDERGROUND JACK HOUSE, but he brings the DEEP. HE BRINGS THE OLD SCHOOL. HE BRINGS THE DISCO and he JACKS BETTER then anyone ever has or does to this day. Then there's SNEAK.......WHO when I came into the scene was part of those 2 other names, but the history shows him like 2 weeks later after Mark and Derrick. A fan first. Back to the days of Shelter but became part of the 2 man army. Always from day 1. Mark, Derrick, and Sneak. For the most part when you think of either Derrick or Mark you think of the other, but Sneaks there with them. I've been blessed to see all three on one night. Or two of them together on one night. Many times. Sneaks moved to a level of global notoriety above them. Because he went recorded every damn sent in every city in every country and created a podcast out of it. He spits out more new music then anyone I can think of in ANY genre of music and still kills it. He does it with skill and basics. He's just amazing so much shit out there it's hard to listen to it all these days.

I have a DJM V10 and 2x VCDJ Nexus 2. On channel 1 I have the DJS 1000. Everything seems fine, but on sampling from CDJ to DJS I only get 1 channel output. It might be a DJM problem, but all works fine. Except the sampling comes from 1 speaker. This is not the case when I connect my headphones into the DJS 1000 directly. ( I am not using any laptop here) The connection seems to be the problem when sampling directly from CDJ to DJS 1000. Any clue why??
